Old-style hotel w. character & snooty receptionist

Not enough space to open the luggage-rack so had to use desk, but otherwise the hotel itself had a good 'established' feel to it. On checking out I asked a receptionist with facial hair if they had an aspirin. (I need one a day for blood-thinning, I'd run out and there's no chemist nearby.) I may as well have asked him to wash my undies from the look of disgust on his face and his terse reply. So a four-day stay ended with no thank you or goodbye - just a condescending scowl. Unfortunately that ended up epitomising Vienna for me - probably unfairly as the rest of the staff had been very pleasant during my time at the hotel.

Great hotel central location

Great location if you enjoy shopping. Staff are friendly and gave us a free upgrade. Room cleaniness is second to none - impeccable.
