Overall a clean, comfortable stay
Overall a clean, enjoyable stay. Great central location, a nice walk from the station. Comfortable bed, lovely shower. The lighting wasn't ideal for doing make up - but I got round that. It was annoying that the TV didn't work - and this wasn't sorted despite raising it. When checking in I asked if Uber worked for getting taxi's, and I was told yes - no other info/tips offered - this turned out to be absolutely not the case, which caused me quite a lot of delay. I would have preferred a "I don't know" to false info that I trusted. Breakfast was oddly laid out in the space available - but was fresh and tasty - and the poached eggs were perfect!

Great location, hotel okay.
We booked in the Mercure based on location for the centre and that couldn’t have been better. We were on the 4th floor but the lift from floor 2 to 4 was not working and it was a bit of a trek to find the room. The room was okay but a bit tired in places. The parking is very limited and although discounted and only £5 I don’t think that was mentioned when we looked at the advert. We didn’t complain about any of this as it was okay but not exceptional- only okay.

Small and secure
Lovely somewhat cramped room, to achieve the view in the photo you would have to sit on the kettle. Lack of lift access made travelling with luggage harder than it might otherwise have been. Friendly staff, clean and spacious shared areas.

Better to just do room only stay
Stay was okay. Room was pleasant. Breakfast experience was very poor. Unclean cutlery, dirty tables and floor. One guy rushing about doing everything so service was restricted. Parking was ridiculous. If you can’t get parked you need to dangerously reverse all the way out to the main road. People parking in a poor way which means others can’t get parked next to them.
