Splash out – $$$
Awesomely located on high-end Hastings Street (aka: Luxury Central), Sofitel Noosa is all about indulgence. Spoil yourself with a personalised pampering session at AQUA, the on-site day spa, sip champagne by the sparkling resort pool (or in it, thanks to the swim-up bar), or get your degustation on at Peter Kuruvita’s Noosa Beach House. Oh, and maybe check out Noosa beach, just 400m away. You know, if you have time 😉
Huuuge apartments with private balconies, all-new kitchens, marble bathrooms, and epic views – sign us up! Oceans Mooloolaba is a serious splash-out, but as an Aussie and international award-winner it’s worth every cent. Bliss out at the Spa Room, or treat yourself to a special delivery of a delicious seafood platter or yummy gourmet hamper. Check out the two-bedroom penthouse if you want a secret rooftop spa… *drool*
Want to spoil the whole family? RACV Noosa is perfect for you. With two heated outdoor swimming pools (one with an infinity edge, one with waterslides and a kid-friendly splash park – omg), on-site tennis, a day spa, and easy access to Noosa’s awesome beach and national parks, everyone will have a blast. Check out the spacious (seriously, they’re huge) apartments for groups and families – they come with full kitchens, laundries, and massive king-sized beds. So good!
Affordable gem – $$
Whether you want to do everything or nothing on your Sunnny Coast break, Novotel Twin Waters has got your back. With their separate bed and lounge rooms and handy kitchenettes, the suite rooms are perfect for families, while the resort’s Kidz Cove, Spring free Trampoline Jump Zone, and games room will be a hit with the kiddos. For even more excitement, check out the Aqua Fun Park – an inflatable obstacle course of slides and jumping pillows floating in the Twin Waters lagoon. You don’t have to run it yourself if you’re not game – just watch with a camera and snap your loved ones when they stack it 😉
Who says luxury Noosa has to break the bank? Not Noosa Blue Resort, that’s for sure! The spacious and stylish Deluxe One Bedroom Suites offer fantastic value for money, with separate bed and living rooms, full kitchens (perfect for families), and spa baths, or you can indulge with a luxurious penthouse with a private rooftop spa. Just a cruisy 20-minute stroll from both the beach and the national park, Noosa Blue Resort is also brilliantly located for exploring the best of Noosa.
WARNING: Don’t let the kids see the pics of Oaks Oasis’ awesome water park, outdoor play area, and putt-putt golf course until you’re 100% sure you’re booking a stay – they’ll be gutted if you change your mind. Though with its stylish rooms, handy kitchenettes, fun tennis and volleyball courts, tempting resort pool, chilled-out Caloundra location, and bargain rates, we don’t know why you wouldn’t. Check out the villas if you’re travelling with a larger family or group. They’re massive, with gorgeous kitchens, and sleep up to six guests.
Bargain pick – $
For a classic family beach break, you can’t go past Mooloolaba’s Alex Beach Cabins. Less than 2km from Sunshine Plaza (the Sunshine Coast’s biggest shopping centre – woohoo!) and 3km from the beach, it’s a chilled-out home away from home. Grab a two-bedroom holiday home for a full kitchen and separate lounge room with a big TV. With space for up to four guests for around $170 per night, it’s a bargain!
Want a bargain getaway that’s right on the beach? No, we mean right on the beach – literally across the road. OK, check out Beach Retreat Coolum. With its spacious rooms, awesome pools, easy access to Mount Coolum National Park (just 4km away), and epic views, it’s a real winner. But if you need more convincing, there’s also a BBQ area, games room, a wading pool for the kids, and free wi-fi. Score!
Best Western Plus Lake Kawana Hotel

Its Birtinya location is halfway between Caloundra and Mooloolaba – perfect for exploring both destinations.
