WARNING: Don’t let the kids see the pics of Oaks Oasis’ awesome water park, outdoor play area, and putt-putt golf course until you’re 100% sure you’re booking a stay – they’ll be gutted if you change your mind. Less than 2km from Sunshine Plaza (the Sunshine Coast’s biggest shopping centre – woohoo!) and 3km from the beach, it’s a chilled-out home away from home. Grab a two-bedroom holiday home for a full kitchen and separate lounge room with a big TV. With space for up to four guests for around $170 per night, it’s a bargain!
Want a bargain getaway that’s right on the beach? No, we mean right on the beach – literally across the road. OK, check out Beach Retreat Coolum. With its spacious rooms, awesome pools, easy access to Mount Coolum National Park (just 4km away), and epic views, it’s a real winner. But if you need more convincing, there’s also a BBQ area, games room, a wading pool for the kids, and free wi-fi. Score!
