Aries (March 21–April 19)
Janusz says…
Mars’ absence in your ruling sign’s zodiac this year, combined with the disruptiveness of Uranus going through it, may add to your sense of frustration. This year, you should finally go on that trip you’ve always been waiting for. Go for a spot where you can let loose of any excess energy and refocus yourself.
We recommend… Uluru
Number one on many Aussie travel bucket lists, Uluru is an incredible destination that too many people keep putting off for “one day”. Visit between May and September for cool, clear weather that’s perfect for long days of bush walking.
Taurus (April 20–May 20)
Janusz says…
From the middle of May, Uranus will enter your sign for a longer visit. As a result, you may get restless or want to break up your routine. Try to remain physically active and do something that is great for the legs or physique: Cycling, rowing, kayaking, and even gardening can be physically and mentally rewarding.

Canberra’s beautiful parks and sprawling layout makes it perfect for active getaways, especially cycling and running. Its awesome museums, galleries, and exhibitions will exercise your mind too.
Gemini (May 21–June 20)
Janusz says…
The plethora of outer planets being in heavy earth and water signs for most of the year is concerning for light- and air-hungry Gemini. Take a trip when the days start to get shorter and cooler. Rejuvenate your spirits with a trip that includes spotting critters or birds, especially along their migratory journeys.
We recommend… Tassie
Specifically, Freycinet National Park, where you can enjoy some of Oz’s best bird watching. Keep your eyes peeled for white-bellied sea eagles gliding overhead or huge Australasian gamets diving into the ocean for food.
Cancer (June 21–July 22)
Janusz says…
Cancers love family but also trinkets, and they can be remarkably adept at getting good deals and scoring ancient valuables to gift or to hoard. However, the trine Jupiter in Scorpio forms with Cancer can also deepen an existing relationship, so be sure to make time to step out of that shop for a bit and hit the road with a friend.
We recommend… Hong Kong
HK is home to some of the world’s best shopping, but also has plenty of opportunities to get off the beaten track. Head to Admiralty, Central, and SoHo for big-name brands. For a more grounding experience, visit the Tian Tan Buddha.
Leo (July 23–August 22)

Plan a trip in February or March, when Mars is in Sagittarius and Uranus is in Aries, forming a trine with your natal Sun and giving you extra get-up-and-go. The position of the moon’s nodes also make this the best year for Leo to indulge. Anything playful and carefree will be rewarding, as “the eternal child of the zodiac” loves to frolic.

Bali offers the perfect mix of luxe and adventure. Spend your days exploring the Besakih Temple and the ancient ruins of Goa Gajah, your nights partying at wild beach clubs, and your downtime unwinding at an indulgent day spa.
Virgo (August 23–September 22)

While holidays aren’t where one would usually tackle extra work, the service-minded Virgo may find it an auspicious year, with Neptune in Pisces and Jupiter in Pluto, to roll up their sleeves and contribute something to the world. Worthy causes combined with travel promise Virgo a satisfying experience.
We recommend… Thailand
Specifically, Chiang Mai, where you can volunteer at the Elephant Nature Park. The park rescues and rehabilitates ‘domesticated’ Asian elephants, many of whom were used for street begging and tourist trekking. Find out more here.
Libra (September 23–October 22)
Janusz says…
Jupiter in Scorpio and Venus exalted in Taurus will accentuate Libra’s enjoyment of things that come easy and could make something like a cruise more exciting than usual. This would also satisfy Libra’s thirst for luxury and give them stories to earn their friends’ and colleagues’ envy.
We recommend… Ha Long Bay
A regular cruise might make your friends jealous, but a junk boat cruise around Ha Long Bay, Vietnam, will make them green with envy! Experience a gorgeous UNSESCO World Heritage site, then explore the history and culture of nearby Hanoi.
Scorpio (October 23–November 21)

Jupiter’s placement nearly all year in Scorpio makes the Scorpio prone to foolhardy actions. This could be the year you really let yourself go. Mitigate your natural intensity with a dose of nurturing, and consider a trip that revolves around a cuisine you love. A sense of all-encompassing enjoyment can bring intense satisfaction and lighten your soul.
We recommend… Europe
If you’re letting yourself go, why not go all out? Take a month to travel through Europe, indulging in your favourite cuisines. Head to Bordeaux for Merlot and escargots, Tuscany for Chianti and chicken liver pate, or Santorini for pomegranates and saganaki.
Sagittarius (November 22–December 21)
Janusz says…
Sagittarius loves bragging, heady conversations about all the places they’ve been, and diving deep into other cultures, languages and traditions. Heading off in the early part of the year to a far-off destination just as Venus, Mercury and Mars transverse through your sign will bring you luck. Expand your mind and assert yourself!
We recommend… Peru

September would be a great month for the overworked Capricorn to take a break and gather her thoughts. It will be easier for you to clear your head and organise your next steps. Anything with vast expanses of land and extended horizons that can get you in touch with your ruling element earth would be helpful.
We recommend… The Kimberley
When it comes to vast expanses of land and never-ending horizons, you can’t go past the Kimberley. From stunning Windjana Gorge to gorgeous Cable Beach, this is nature at its best. Visit in early September, before it gets too hot.
Aquarius (January 20–February 18)

You have a longer visit from Mars coming up this year, from mid-May onward, which will add to any mental disarray you might be experiencing. Ground yourself with your inherent love of art and crafts, perhaps with a trip that lets you hone your skills. Because if there is anything an Aquarius can’t live without, it’s inspiration…
