La Quinta had on my request given us an accessible room on the first floor. They have an elevator just for hotel guests and residents, which operates on your door card. Hence you know it is safe, no one who doesn’t belong there can come up.
The room was very spacious so I could drive around on my wheelchair without damaging anything. The bed comfortable and a nice king size. The bathroom again accessible with rails and a seat for showering.
The reception was friendly and helpful, when asked to book us a taxi they did straightaway and when the taxi didn’t show on time they called them again to make sure the booking was registered, which it was. The driver was just late!
We also got a disability park behind the building right at the entrance of the elevator, so thoughtful and convenient.
The room was serviced everyday but we didn’t need our towels changed, our choice, so they left them on heated towel rails and just cleaned the bathroom and replenished the coffee and milk we had used and took our rubbish away.
The view was awesome, we looked out on the remarkables, beautiful snowy capped mountains. Who doesn’t want to wake up to that.
our stay of three nights was wonderful and we’d definitely book again should we be in the area.
