Palm Beach is one of the most well known of the Waiheke beaches. It offers lovely white sands, beautiful scenery and some wonderful rocks for clambering about on. There are two public BBQ areas, playing field and children’s playground areas. It is a very popular meeting spot for gathering of friends or family. There is a local store that also serves ice-cream and cold drinks. A restaurant serves lunch and dinner.

A local art collective runs art displays and sale of local works.

There is also a ‘clothing optional’ beach around the rocks at the far end of Palm Beach for those who may be so inclined.

The local supermarket is only 5 minutes drive or 20 minutes brisk walk from Palm Beach. While Oneroa Village where there is a good choice of cafes, restaurants, shops and banks is only 10 minute drive.

There is a fine selection of vineyards on the Island that offer tours, lunches and diner options.
