Stratford Heritage Lodge has 7 rooms consisting of 3 singles, 2 twins and 2 queens. All rooms are lockable, with own TV, heater and hand basin with hot and cold running water. Bed with quality linen, towel, face cloth and hand towel supplied. Perfect choice for flashpackers - independent travelers who can afford more amenities and privacy than most hostels can offer. For small children/babies etc we have a port-a-cot and mattress to add to room at $10 per night hirage. A hairchair is available free of charge We are located only 300m from main shopping area and restaurants. Other features off-street parking, new communal kitchen and a delightful lounge. Continental breakfast available on request or Stratford has cafes that open 7 days a week for breakfast. Hosts have extensive knowledge of Mountain Tracks & Forgotten World Highway. Stratford Heritage Lodge combines award winning service with comfortable accommodation, we are fully licenced transport operators and offer airport transfers, Egmont National Park and Matemateaonga Track package deals.

Related options

We are fully licenced, qualmark endorsed tour operators and offer a variety of options from one day or multi day tours. These include Mountain, Regional and Forgotten World Highway tours. Stratford is the closest town to Mt Egmont/Taranaki and offers a local bush/river walkway only 200m from our lodge. There are several places of interest such as Lavender Farm, Possum Factory both with top quality products for sale. There are several large gardens to visit, all within a 30 min drive of Stratford and we are happy to design you a self drive tour or we can also take you. Pioneer Village is also a popular attraction.
