Overlooking the picturesque Port of Opua, Waterview Lodge is a quality accommodation establishment.
Our suites have expansive sea views of Opua and the upper harbour. Waterview Lodge is conveniently located to ensure our guests enjoy all that the Bay of Islands has to offer.
Waterview Lodge has 3 guest suites. The Harbour and River suites have their own private balconies with panoramic sea views. The Garden unit and Garden suite have their own private garden and native bush backdrop. All our suites are spacious and tastefully decorated with antiques and collectables from New Zealand and Asia.
A sumptuous breakfast is complimentary with all the suites. Lunches and dinner are available on request.
Waterview Lodge also provides a range of self contained accommodation.
Waterview cottage is a charming residence, which captures both the sun and sea views. The cottage is comfortable and fully furnished with 3 bedrooms, TV, stereo, refrigerator, washing machine, crockery, and linen. The cottage is your typical Kiwi bach (holiday home) and is ideal for outdoor summer living.

The Bay of Islands is one of the most popular tourist destinations in New Zealand. Every year hundreds of foreign yachts and launches visit the Bay of Islands to cruise our pristine waters and view our beautiful scenery.
Paihia is a popular tourist destination, as is Waitangi where the historic treaty was signed in 1840. These are only 5 minutes drive.
Historic Russell is accessible via car ferry from Opua and is popular for its restaurants, beaches and historic buildings and places.
Swimming with the dolphins, fishing, yachting, diving, boating, and numerous cruises are all available. Excursions to Cape Reinga (top of NZ), bush walks, tramping, horse riding, quad bikes, golfing, dining, local vineyards, arts and craft are some of the activities available in the Bay of Islands.
