Good location - but steep!

A very large beautiful home. Disappointed that there was no welcome pack on arrival (milk, eggs, etc). Very limited glassware - only one beer glass! Cupboards were very bare of any basics other than S&P etc. the coffee machine provided wa for pods - none supplied - so hard to source - could have been a simple French press/caffitiere/plunger - but none found. We did have a fantastic stay though

Casa da Ilha Madeira

The house is large with plenty of room and more than sufficient bathrooms. Kitchen is well stocked with utensils and equipment. The pool area is a good size and enclosed. Great views from most rooms over Funchal. There are four floors with a lot of stairs to negotiate. Not a problem for us but may be an issue for some. The information booklet could perhaps be more detailed. Not too far from Funchal Old Town (but a steep climb back!). Overall we had a vey pleasant stay and would recommend.
