The Magrana is a two-storey detached house located in the city of Girona with a PRIVATE POOL COMPLETELY RENOVATED in 2025.

The house has also a safe and private garage to store your bikes and space enough to adjust and repair your bikes after your daily cycling trainings.
You can enjoy the terrace and the garden in front of the house.

The property has 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms and a toilet to the common areas.
Four bedrooms has double beds and the fifth has a bunk bed. Three of the bedrooms has bathrooms en-suite and the other two bedrooms must share the fourth bathroom.
Standard set up is to 10 people although the house is up to 14 people because we can place extra single beds in the large bedrooms if needed.

The kitchen is equipped with all appliances and fixtures you will need during your stay. It also has dining table for fourteen diners next to the living room where you can enjoy a reading area or enjoy a warm space with large sofa next to the fireplace and the smart TV.
There's also a laundry room with a washing machine (detergent and fabric softener included), extra small refrigerator, ironing table.

It has 3 terraces, one of them which with a barbecue, tennis-table and outdoor table that allows you to enjoy meals in the evenings.
The whole house has heating, air conditioning and free WiFi.

The Magrana is located in a quiet residential area in ​​Montjuïch's district in Girona city.
Stunning views ranging from the Catalan Pyrenees to the city centre which you will have at your feet.

Great homebase for cycling or touristing

The highlight of this trip was Lluis, the property owner. From the time I reserved it until he met us on arrival, he was super responsive and helpful. A true treat. Gave us some Catalonia history and kept us laughing. The house itself was perfect for a large group. Five bedroom with four showers - kind of unheard of in Europe. Great patio and view from it. Grocery store within walking distance. We cycled every day and the hill back home was a not-welcome challenge but totally doable. Bus line is a five minute walk. And my favorite ride was a windy, small lane country road just off the other side of the hill. Five out of five stars!

A Great Week

Lovely property on a hillside but only about 15 - 20 mins walk into the Old Town, which is stunning. Very comfortable villa, enjoyed the table tennis in particular as teens loved the competition and it broke up the time around the lovely pool. Walk in to town is a work out but helped balance out the extra food and drink you're likely to indulge in, whilst on holiday. Lluis very helpful and gave us lots of tips about the location. Spacious and comfortable house

The owner made us very welcome and kept in touch before, during and at the rnd of the stay. The house is spacious, clean and caters for larger groups very well. Location is just 15 min walk from the cathederal and all if the bars. Pool was great, given the july temperatures. Supermarket is a few hundred yards away too Highly recommended.

Could not be happier!

It was hot in Girona in June, so we wanted a place with a pool, especially since it was a cycling trip and we knew we would need to cool down afterwards. This house was incredible. Everything worked great... the outside grill, the pool, the table tennis, the washer, the air conditioning and the coffee machine! We also loved that it was fairly close to a wonderful coffee shop and grocery store up the hill on Mont Juic. In terms of the location... it is a tough walk up 'the snake' road to get to the house, but the bus stop is not too far away and that works out pretty well (runs every 15 minutes during daytime) And best of all, Lluis was amazing. He gave us some great advice and was just a joy to work with.

Love! Love! Love!

First of all, the house is even nicer than it looks on line. This is a beautiful mid-century modern home restored to absolute perfection. Lluis is the ultimate host and was very helpful with planning our stay in Girona. Girona is an absolute gem. We walked down to town every day and took taxis back at up night. Other notable wonders about the house: really cold air conditioning, a built in espresso maker and milk frother, lovely hot showers and nice linens. I’m already planning a trip back with my husband. I actually like Girona better than Barcelona and next time will plan on day trips by train to see the Barcelona sights.

A Great Week

The house is tucked on the hillside of Montjuic with a view of the whole valley and a glimpse of the Cathedral. A bit difficult to find on the first time so pay attention to Lluis's directions. The (not large) pool was perfect. Lluis was very helpful, accomodating and friendly and we managed to sort out a few little problems like missing dishes etc. There should be more towels and the pillows (Ikea) were tiny and very soft. We were 5 adults and 3 kids and there was plenty of room and privacy and our stay was very enjoyable. A lovely place in an alomst rural setting - but there are a couple of large supermarkets nearby - especially the Carrefour. The walk downhill into town is really nice and takes you right to the Cathedral and beyond. Going back we took taxies which are easy to find near Independence square. Lluis had good suggestions and directions - thank you, Lluis! On the whole we had a very good week at La Magrana.

Perfect Holidays

Check in was very smooth. Considering that we was changing arrival time few times, property owner Liuis was waiting us. Property owner really nice and friendly guy. Provide us lot of information about restorans, bars, beaches ant other nice places and activities around property. House perfect with beauty view to Girona center. Beautiful and relaxing Girona getaway!

Lluis met us at the property and gave us a thorough tour, including helpful tips on where to go in Girona, the location of the best walking paths down to the city center, restaurant suggestions, etc. An extremely friendly and helpful host! The house itself is well maintained, and quite comfortable. It easily accommodated our party of 8, with room to spare. The pool was a lovely escape from the heat, and a special treat for our kids. The views from the house (especially the upstairs terraces at night) were spectacular. I would recommend this place without reservations. Thanks, Lluis!

The perfect host

We had a fabulous holiday at La Magrana. It all begins and ends with our host Liuis. Lluis is a person who loves people and this bears on all the aspect of the visit with him. It starts with the very warm welcome and a very effective orientation on Girona and the region. Then there is this large and cozy leaving room, which allows nice family gatherings, the perfect mattresses that allow a good night sleep, the good size swimming pool, the fully equipped kitchen, which allows you to play Spanish chef. The thing that impressed me most, was the fact that Lluis proveds you with 5 options to prepare your morning coffee: a Nespresso machine, an elaborate coffee maker with freshly grounded beans, a drip coffee device, an Italian machinata, and for those who prefer it, instant coffee. This just shows Liuis's care for his guests

Location and standard of the property first class with a beautiful 15 minute walk to the centre of Girona. This was only surpassed by the help given by the host Lluis. His advice and availability was brilliant. He even arranged for a local chef to come to the house and cook a superb paella for 8. We will definitely return

Peaceful Villa with Exceptional Host

As others have commented, this is a lovely villa, very spacious, set on a quiet hillside overlooking Girona. We enjoyed walking up and down the steps (of which there are many) to the old town, but we also used the bus. The easiest option for us was to ask Lluis to arrange for a taxi, which he did with very good grace. The kitchen is well equipped, and includes a coffeemaker which grinds beans freshly for each cup. Beds and bedding very comfortable. We visited in October whilst it was still hot, and there were a number of mosquitoes around so I would advise visitors to bring repellent. This is a great option for a group of friends as there are 4 bathrooms and a separate toilet for 5 bedrooms.

the most relaxing week we’ve ever had 🌞😃

we stayed at the la magrana villa for 1 week starting 07/07/18.. there war 11 of us (9 adults 2 children) and we all had an excellent holiday and none of us wanted to leave when the week was up. it’s the 1st time we’ve had a villa holiday and we can’t wait to do it all again! the villa has everything you could possibly need and the views are absolutely stunning. the owner Lluis greeted us at the villa when we arrived and then also took us to the supermarket in his own car to do our 1st shop and stock up on essentials (meat for the bbq and alcohol 😃😎) there is also a bakery at the side of the supermarket where we bought fresh bread and treats from every day and every thing we had from there was 2nd to none! ( the bakery and supermarket are a 10 minute walk away from the villa) we bbq’d almost every day and it was awesome to sit with all our family on the terrace eating the best bbq food while taking in the unbelievable views of girona. we spent most of our week enjoying the very comfortable la magrana villa and the private pool which we all took advantage of every single day ( the weather was around 30c every day) we also had a couple of nights out in girona city for some very nice food and drinks which was a 10 to 15 minute walk down into the city..mostly down hill going so we caught taxi’s back with no problems at all. girona is without a doubt the nicest and most interesting city i’ve ever been to..and i would definitely love to go back to girona and la magrana again in the future. Lluis is exactly how a host should be and we would all like to thank him for having us and for an excellent holiday!!!😎🌞😎 🤜🏼🤛🏼

House with a view...

We had a delightfull stay at Lluis's very relaxing home. The house has fabulous views back to the city of Girona and the surrounding country-- the evening sunset was a particularly enjoyable time of day to take in the vista. The house is very well set up. We loved using the modern kitchen appliances including a built in espresso/coffee machine! We had a total of six people staying and there was plenty of space for everyone to relax. We made the most of the outdoor living areas; pool, patio, terrace with barbecue. The walk into town was picturesque and included climbing the stairs and working off all the Jambon & Manchego we consumed. Lluis was a gracious host who made some excellent suggestions of restaurants to try in the area, and was quick to answer any queries during the booking process & for the duration of our stay. And we would stay again without hesitation.

Perfect base for exploring Catalonia

This is a gracious, comfortable house -- with a magnificent terrace, lovely views of the city and a pool. We were two couples and a young son -- and the space divides nicely. The owner is the friendliest and most helpful person imaginable. This is a perfect spot to explore Girona and the surrounding countryside. We visited marvelous romanesque churches in Besalú and Santa Pau nearby; and a bit further afield is Ripoll, Sant Joan de Les Abadesses and Beget. The Jewish quarter in Girona is well worth exploring -- as is the gothic cathedral. We also made a wonderful trip to Cap de Creus and Cadaques by the sea. The house is very well equipped. The owner is a very fine person. Absolutely trustworthy.

Vacation at la Magrana, Girona Spain

I just can say great things of our stay at La Magrana Girona. The owner Lluis was waiting until late at night to welcome us(he even join us for a late night meal on a great local place in Girona). We have the opportunity to get all the recommendations from him that night for places to visit for sightseeing, museums and great places to eat all kind of food. The property exceed by far our expectations. Clean, all the amenities we need like washer machine, pool, BBQ, central a/c on all the property(even a great expresso coffee machine). A spectacular view of Girona and 7 min drive to the historic center(or 10 min by bike at least going down the hill). 110 % recommended. Thank you for everything LLuis.

Toller Ort für eine große Gruppe

Wir waren mit fünf Erwachsenen, drei Kindern und einem Hund dort und haben die Zeit genossen. Die Lage ist sehr ruhig in einer Sackgasse über den Dächern von Girona.Über einige Treppen kann man in die Stadt laufen oder auch mit der Buslinie 1 fahren. Das Haus ist sehr groß und hat viele unterschiedliche Sitzmöglichkeiten, innen und außen. Auch wenn es in die Jahre gekommen ist, hat es immer noch sehr viel Charme und vor allem war es sauber. Wir haben uns alle sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Küche ist voll ausgestattet, wir haben viel selber gekocht. Die Kinder fanden den Pool toll, dieser liegt auf der unteren Ebene und ist Kindersicher abgetrennt. Eine große Garage bietet Platz für die Fahrräder. Vielen Dank auch an Luis, den Vermieter, er war sehr hilfsbereit und nett. Insgesamt ein toller Ort für alle Beteiligten.

Cycling stay

The house is beautiful and perfectly equipped. The view from up high is wonderful. If you come to stay for cycling, take in account that you will have a last climb to make. There is a bus to get to the center and swimming pools
