We enjoyed our stay in this self-catering catering cabin on the edge of Knysma. It had a wonderful view over the lagoon, it was serviced daily and at under £60 UK pounds a night it was great value.

Amazing Place to Stay

Abalone Lodge was a fab place to stay. We stayed in a double story log cabin wish was amazing. Downstairs it had an open plan kitchen and lounge, shower room and a huge picture window. Upstairs it had a big bedroom with a super comfortable king size bed, a bathroom with a spa corner bath and a separate toilet. The bedroom had a balcony with an Amazing view. We sat there every morning having our tea and evening sipping wine. You have your own parking space too which was great. James at reception was a great help with local knowledge and told us everything you needed to know about the local area. You are a little way out of town so a car is good to have. The Cabin has everything you’d need for a perfect stay. Would recommend this place to everyone.

This is a really good looking complex with quality rooms. We felt safe in the gated compound. We used this as the base to go walking in the Knysna Nature Reserve

The view was stunning and the check in was quick. The only downside is that we had a semi-detached cabin so we heard our neighbors footsteps from time to time. The only dirty part was the basin in the bathroom (the underneath side which can only be seen from the bath) and there were some beams that had dust on therefore housekeeping only does the basics and not a full top to bottom and the minor areas
