Perfect location
Very difficult to find. Very difficult to gain entry. Very cold space with little light. Furnishings were very cheap like a college dorm room. This place needs some minor investment. The only redeeming attribute was location in old town Modena

Wonderful host, excellent location
Alberto could not have been more hospitable or kind! He met us at the property when we arrived, escorted us while carrying our bags, and showed us around. He was easy to communicate with and helped us with recommendations and cabs.
He was truly so kind!

Great apartment, great location, great owner.
We very much enjoyed our stay at this apartment. It was very clean and the location is excellent. It is within 5 mins walking distance to everything in old town and convenient for other sites in the city. Felt very safe. The size of the apartment feels bigger than the listing size. Our family of four never felt cramped. The finish out of the apartment is very nice and classic. The balcony outside is nice for having a glass of wine in the evening or a coffee in the morning. The owner was extremely kind and gave us great recommendations for restaurants and a rental car company. He was extremely responsive. I noticed someone mentioned the washing machine not working properly, but we had no issues with that and washed several loads of clothes. The shower is slightly cramped by American standards, but the hot water worked well. The only small warning I might have is the common areas are unlit and extremely dark when coming home in the evening. I would highly recommend this property to anyone.

Lovely Town
This apartment was beautiful. It was worth staying in Modena to visit both Ferrari museums and the Pagani Museum. They were all within a short driving distance. The unit had comfortable beds, was clean, and the kitchen had what we needed. The front window had a balcony you can step out on and have a coffee if you like. Sitting under the high beautiful ceilings, peeking out at the view, and enjoying a rest on the comfortable furniture was one of the best memories I have of our visit. This place is a gem.
Modena is not as popular with tourist and was a welcome respite from the busier tourist spots we visited. If I ever return to Italy I would aim for small towns like this. The people are much friendlier and more sincere. Several community events were occurring while we visited and it was locals, not tourist participating. There are many great restaurants in walking distance. If you have allergies or special needs reserve a spot at a restaurant that can handle it. Not all places are willing to make even the most basic modifications.
I loved this apartment. The few issues we had were the shower did not have enough room as the head is low and spaced right up agains the shower door. The washer doesn't rinse the clothes at all. There is a nearby laundromat 3 minutes away that has high powered dryers that did the job after a day of trying to air dry our clothes. They even stayed open 10 minutes beyond closing time to help us.
Great apartment, great town.
