Not what was advertised
Nice apartment with easy access to central London, however it was advertised as sleeping 5 people in 2 double beds and one sofa bed. On arrival it was evident that there was no sofa bed. On contacting the owner we were told that the 5th person should sleep on the sofa with a pillow off one of the existing beds and a thin throw blanket that was provided. This was wholly unsuitable and my teenage daughter got very little sleep throughout our 2 night stay.
I requested a refund of the cost of one person’s stay (£75) and the owner refused this. I’ve now been promised a £40 ‘good will gesture’ which doesn’t make up for the fact that our trip was badly affected by the apartment being falsely advertised as sleeping 5 people.
Disappointing response from an owner who was personable when in direct contact with me, and completely changed their tune once Hotels.com started acting as n intermediary.
