Ok hotel, terrible breakfast

We have stayed here a few times and it's a decent hotel. Staff is friendly, and the place is clean. This time our bathroom was a little tiny, and the toilet was so close to the sink it was uncomfortable. The breakfast was horrible, not that expect a gourmet meal, but if that's the best you can do, don't bother with it. Just take the $2 worth of crap food off my room. Then I couldn't even get rid of it comfortably because of the toilet situation.

I liked the modern look of the room. Didn’t like the lack of an in room coffee machine. But coffee in the lobby at breakfast was free and pretty good! The breakfast looked pretty decent but I went out for breakfast. There ate 2 cardio machines but I didn’t realize they had a gym at all. My shower drain was slow, which was annoying. And the water hadn’t gotten hot by the time my shower ended, but it was warm enough to shower comfortably. And the walls were thin, so I heard people taking and walking around, but they weren’t overly loud and I was able to sleep. I heard nothing the second night of my stay. You can hear a train whistle sometimes in the distance. The location was good for driving to campus in 10 minutes or so. I liked the small veterans memorial park nearby. There is a lot of stuff on McFarland down the street .

Smelled musty and like marijuana. The beds were lumpy. The pillows were lumpy. The floors and surfaces were not cleaned thoroughly or just plain dirty. Every shower the bathroom floor would be flooded due to short shower curtain and poor shower design. My shower water was cold the last time I took a shower. Very thin walls. And bright colorful lights outside that shine in the windows. We checked out early due to these issues and were refused a refund from the property for the night we weren’t staying.
