On this 10-day island hopping trip you will visit the “Enchanted Islands” in the Pacific, the unique Galapagos Archipelago. The unique flora and fauna of the archipelago, located 1000 km west of the Ecuadorian mainland, is protected by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. Endemic land and marine iguanas, sea lions, penguins, flamingos, pelicans, frigate birds, tropical birds, blue-footed, red-footed and masked boobies, sea turtles and the giant tortoises that give Galapagos its name are the main living attractions in fantastic, seemingly unreal lava landscapes. You will visit the main inhabited islands, take day trips to other uninhabited islands, and have plenty of time for independent activities, swimming, snorkelling, and relaxing on the many dream beaches.

Day 1: Sea lion island San Cristobal

Cerro Tijeretas

You will fly to the Galapagos Islands to San Cristobal. Here you will be met at the airport and taken to your hotel in Puerto Baquerizo Moreno. The rest of the afternoon is at leisure. Visit the nearby Tijeretas viewing hill on well-signposted paths and the beautiful beaches of Cabo de Horno and Playa Man on the way back. The small bay at Punta Carola is an ideal place for swimming and snorkelling.
Day 2: Day tour El Junco, Galapaguera and Pt. Chino

Lagoon El Junco

You go on an excursion with an English-speaking national park guide to the highlands of the island. You will hike to "El Junco" lagoon, the largest freshwater lake in Galápagos. Afterwards, visit the giant tortoises at “La Galapaguera” breeding centre before swimming with the sea lions at the small Puerto Chino beach. In the afternoon you are back in Pt. Baquerizo Moreno and can visit “La Lobería” beach. Continue along the signposted path for 1 km to the “Las Negritas” cliffs, where numerous seabirds nest, including the unique tropic bird.
Day 3: Snorkelling tour in Kicker Rock

Kicker Rock

You will be picked up at the hotel and taken to the dock. From here, a day tour to the rocky island of Kicker Rock begins. Here you will see frigate birds and pelicans as well as tropicbirds, blue-footed boobies and Nazca boobies. Snorkel and immerse yourself in the fantastic underwater world. Leon Dormido or Kicker Rock is considered how one of the best diving and snorkelling spots, as you can not only see lots of colourful fish here, but also turtles, giant rays and hammerhead sharks. Afterwards, you will visit a secluded beach in Puerto Grande before returning to the dock.
Day 4: Navigation to Santa Cruz – Primicias Farm and Tortuga Bay beach

Rancho Primicias

Early in the morning, you will be taken to the dock and travel by speedboat (approx. 2 hours) from San Cristobal to the island of Santa Cruz to Puerto Ayora, where you will be met. You will then head into the highlands to the Primicias tortoises farm, which you will visit with a guide. The driver will be waiting for you during the tour and then take you back to the hotel. In the afternoon, take a short hike on your own to the well-signposted beach of Tortuga Bay. Walk the 2.5 km path through the dry forest and along the large, powder-sugar beach and another kilometre to the right to the small bay of Playa Mansa, where you can swim and explore the shore by kayak.
Day 5: Day Tour Seymour Norte

Seymour Island

Today's day trip takes you to the island of Seymour Norte. First, you will drive to the north side of Santa Cruz Island and board the boat there. You will reach Seymour Norte in around 45 minutes and go on a tour, during which your English-speaking guide will explain a lot about the flora and fauna. Seymour is known for its large number of seabirds, including the magnificent frigatebird. The yellow endemic land iguana can also be found here. In the afternoon you drive to Bachas Beach, hidden in mangrove forests, where you can swim and snorkel in an excellent spot. You will be back in Puerto Ayora in the late afternoon.
Day 6: Academy Bay Tour / Navigation to Isabela

El Tour de Bahia

You will be picked up at the hotel and taken to the dock. You will take part in a tour through the bay of Puerto Ayora, on which you will get to know the beaches “Playa de los Alemanes”, “Playa de Perros”, the rocky gorge “Las Grietas” and the shark-fish channel. You will have time to swim and snorkel at “La Loberia”. You will be back in the dock around midday. In the afternoon, you will be picked up again at the hotel and taken to the dock. At 3:00 pm, you will take the speedboat (approx. 2.5 hours) from Santa Cruz westwards to the largest island, Isabela. You will be met at the dock of Puerto Villamil and taken to your hotel.
Day 7: Tintoreras Islet

Today you go on a tour with an English-speaking national park guide to the nearby Tintoreras Islet. On the tour you will see many land and sea iguanas, blue-footed boobies and usually a few penguins. Afterwards, you will have time to swim and snorkel with sea lions and sea turtles. You will be back in the village around midday. In the afternoon, visit the Flamingo Lagoon and the Arnaldo Tupiza tortoise breeding centre on your own, which you can reach via wooden walkways at the end of the village.
Day 8: Snorkelling tour in “Los Tuneles”

Today you will take a boat tour with an English-speaking national park guide along the coast to Cabo Rosa, a place where the lava reached the sea and formed various lava arches and tunnels. You will take a short walk on land and can see Galápagos penguins and blue-footed boobies. Afterwards, you will snorkel at a selected spot where sea turtles, white-tip sharks and seahorses can be seen. After a refreshing box lunch on board, you will return to Puerto Villamil.
Day 9: Concha Perla – Navigation to Santa Cruz

Santa Cruz Island

This morning is at your leisure. Visit the small bay of Cocha Perla on your own, close to the jetty, where you can swim and snorkel. Underwater you will see many colourful fish, rays, sea lions and, with luck, penguins. In the afternoon, you will be picked up at the hotel and taken to the dock, as your speedboat departs back to Santa Cruz at 3.00 pm, where you will arrive at around 5.00 pm. You will be met at the dock of Puerto Ayora and taken to your hotel.

Canal de Itabaca

An unforgettable dream trip comes to an end. You will be picked up at your hotel and taken to the north side of Santa Cruz Island, to the Itabaca Channel. Here with your driver, you will take the ferry to the other side of the Itabaca Channel, and from here you will take the bus to Baltra Airport. Your return flight will take you to Quito or Guayaquil, where you will board your connecting flight back home.
