Monastery of the Incarnation — History and spirituality of Ávila We will stop at the Monastery of the Incarnation, one of the places most linked to the figure of Saint Teresa of Jesus, who lived here for much of her religious life. From the outside, the guide will bring us closer to the history of the monastery and the importance it had in the life of the saint, discovering a facet of Avila more serene and less known than that of its great monuments. A break that brings history, local identity and heritage before continuing our electric bike route.

One of the great stops on the tour. From Los Cuatro Postes we will enjoy one of the most recognisable panoramas of Ávila, with the walled city stretching out in front of us. We will have time to stop, take in the view and take pictures before continuing the route.

The route continues next to the Walls of Avila, one of the best preserved medieval ensembles in Europe and the most recognisable image of the city. We will pedal along part of its outer perimeter, enjoying a different perspective of the towers, doors and stone canvases surrounding the historic centre. It is a particularly visual section that allows you to appreciate the scale of the fortification and connect the monumental heritage with the bicycle tour, without turning the experience into a conventional urban visit.

We will make a short stop in front of the Basilica of San Vicente, one of the great references of the Romanesque of Ávila, next to the nearby Puerta de San Vicente, one of the most monumental entrances of the walled enclosure. From this point we can jointly contemplate two of the most representative images of the city: the religious architecture and the defensive force of its walls. A short, visual and very photogenic stop before continuing the e-bike route.

Entrance to the historic heart of Ávila On our e-bikes we will pass through the Puerta del Alcázar, one of the most monumental entrances of the Wall, to briefly enter the historic centre of Ávila. During this small intramural section we will change perspective: from contemplating the fortification from the outside to crossing it and pedaling through the interior of the walled city, before continuing with the rest of the route. A brief but especially evocative step that allows you to experience the Wall as the great gateway to the historic Avila.

We will make a short stop in front of the Cathedral of Avila, integrated into the city’s own defensive complex and one of the most representative buildings of its historic centre. From the outside, we will appreciate how religious architecture and wall merge into the same urban landscape, before continuing our electric bike route through the interior of the city. A short, visual stop very representative of the monumental identity of Ávila.

We will walk along the Paseo del Rastro, one of the most pleasant stretches next to the historic precinct of Ávila. From here you can see wide views of the surrounding environment, creating a very attractive contrast between the monumental architecture and the Castilian landscape. It will be a stretch to enjoy pedaling calmly, stop looking at the panorama and discover a different perspective of Avila before continuing the route.

End of the tour: After discovering Avila from different perspectives, we will finish our route by electric bike returning to the starting point.
