This is the most effective way to know and visualise all the tourist potential of Fortaleza in a short time. This tour lasts a maximum of two and a half hours, where you get to condense the visit to the main tourist points of the city.
It begins by departing from the passengers' hotels to go to Avenida Beira Mar, where the handicraft fair, the Iracema statue and the Mucuripe area are located. This area has a poetic, economic and historical importance for the city, besides being home to the local port.
Next, we will pass by the most famous beach of the city, Praia del Futuro, and the area of Aldeota, which is considered one of the most chic. There you will find Dom Luís Avenue, a tribute to the Archbishop of Fortaleza; Portugal Square, which pays homage to the sailors and settlers; and the Church of Our Lady of Lebanon, the only Orthodox Church in the city. In addition, it is also in Aldeota that the mausoleum of former President Castelo Branco is located. The tour continues to the area of Iracema Beach, a place to visit for the eternal lovers.
One of the stops is at the Puente de los Ingleses, also called Puente Metálico. The tour passes by the Dragon Centre of the Sea of Art and Culture and the city centre. There you will find the Central Crafts Market, Schonemborch Fort, the Metropolitan Cathedral of Fortaleza, the Public Promenade, the train station and the old public chain, which today houses a crafts centre.
The tour ends with the transfer of passengers back to their hotels.
