Day 1: Samarkand or Bukhara – Nurata – Aydarkul Lake – Yurt Camp
Meet your driver at your hotel in Samarkand or Bukhara and begin your journey to the Kyzylkum Desert. Stop in Nurata to visit the sacred Chashma Complex and the ancient ruins linked to Alexander the Great.
Continue to the peaceful Aydarkul Lake, where you can enjoy lunch by the lakeside and take a short walk to admire the natural scenery.
Arrive at the traditional yurt camp in the desert. Enjoy a camel ride across the sandy dunes, relax in the quiet atmosphere, and experience authentic local hospitality. In the evening, savour a traditional dinner around the campfire accompanied by folk music performed by a local Kazakh akyn. Overnight stay in a cosy yurt.
Day 2: Yurt Camp – Bukhara or Samarkand
After breakfast at the camp, depart for Bukhara or Samarkand. Along the way, stop at the historic Rabati Malik caravanserai and visit a traditional pottery workshop in Gijduvan. Drop-off at your hotel, train station, or airport.
