    • Full details on our website - www.cambridgerowing.com/findus. If you are driving in, please be wary that there are limited parking bays near the club. We start promptly at 10:00 so please aim to arrive 5-10min beforehand and meet to the LEFT of the club (if facing the river) next to the ‘Meeting point’ signage. If you are planning on driving, there are paid parking bays on the side streets (free on Sundays/bank holidays) and I would suggest that you pay for 4hrs. If you come by bike, we have plenty of bike rails by the club but do please ensure that you lock your bike correctly.

What's included, what's not

  • What's includedWhat's includedFull tour of boatclub and boatbay. Learn the rowing technique in our gym on Concept2 Rowing Machines (Ergs). Lift an eight boat with 7 others and carry this out of the boatbay and onto the river. Apply the rowing technique in pairs from within the boat. Once we are satisfied that everyone has understood the technique, we grab our blades... and go rowing!
  • What's excludedWhat's excludedt's a 3hr experience and there will be a short 5min break before getting in the boat. You can purchase water and snacks at the clubhouse but welcome to bring your own. I

What you can expect

Here's an example itinerary of a typical experience day with us;

10:00 – 10:30 = Introduction and a group erg session to learn the technique in our high spec gym
10:30 – 10:40 = Tour of boat bay and talk on the fleet
10:40 – 11:40 = Take 1x boat out (with training blades), place on the bank and apply technique (in pairs) on water
11:40 – 11:50 = Short bathroom break and then start getting people into the boats
11:50 – 12:40 = Pictures and then push off to go rowing for one hour outside the boathouses.
12:40 – 13:00 = Wash boats and put away.

There will be plenty of picture momenbts throughout the experience for you to show your very 'Cambridge' experience!
