Start your day with a pickup from your Hotel in Medan City , driving about 3 hours , after arrived in Bukit Lawang , Walk towards the border of the Gunung Leuser National Park. During your trek, have a great chance of observing a wide variety of wildlife. Your guide will point out all plant species and animals you encounter in the rainforest. Look for orangutans, gibbons, Thomas leaf monkeys, Sumatran Great Argus, pigtail macaques, flying squirrels, and hornbills. The main goal of this trek is to see orangutans in their natural habitat.
