What you can expect

  • Meet your skipper at Lowestoft Harbour and board the bright yellow RIB Shearwater, powered by a Yanmar 440 hp 5.8 L diesel engine driving a Hamilton jet unit. Feel the power, reliability, and exceptional maneuverability of the boat as you set off on your adventure.

    Get hands-on with professional navigation and control systems, including radar, AIS (Automatic Identification System), autopilot, chartplotter, and digital charts. Learn how to detect and track targets at sea, identify nearby vessels, set a course, and plan routes like a pro.

    Explore the coastline or harbour area and get a proper feel for operating a commercial jet RIB. Your skipper will tailor the experience to your interests, from handling and systems to navigation and situational awareness.

    Bring up to 12 people for a private group session, with the option to extend if you’d like more time on the water. The fewer people you bring, the more helm time each person gets.
