What you can expect

Forget the traditional crowded boat tour — come see Morro de São Paulo the way few see it: riding your own quad on the island's inner hiking tours.

The adventure begins at 9:40 AM at Segunda Praia, with practical and relaxed training. Even if you've never ridden a quad, the instructor guarantees that in 15 minutes you'll leave feeling confident. Helmet, safety gear, and travel insurance are all included.

From there, the pace is up to you. The guide leads the way through the coconut groves, crossing stretches of rain forest and villages where residents wave from afar. The sound of the engine mixes with the birdsong — a contrast that only makes sense when you are there.

First stop: Praia do Encanto, known as Quinta Praia. It is one of the best preserved on the island, with no tourist tents, no loud music — just a transparent sea and white sand for you to breathe in. Time for photos, to wet your feet, or just to feel the wind.

We continue to Garapuá, a fishing village at the southern tip of Morro. Here, you have free time: you can swim in the calm sea, have lunch at one of the local restaurants (fresh grilled fish, charcoal-grilled lobster), or relax in a hammock among the coconut trees. You can stay up to 2 hours in Garapuá.

The return is the best part — the sun begins to set, the terrain becomes lighter, and you take the reverse route with the sunset painting everything orange. Arrival at Segunda Praia by 5 PM.

PRACTICAL DETAILS:
• Capacity: up to 2 people per quad (same price whether 1 or 2)
• Minimum age: 18 years
• Daily departure: 09:40 AM (arrive at 09:30 AM for check-in)
• Expected return: by 5 PM
• The activity goes ahead even in light rain (cancelled only with a warning from the Navy)
• No previous experience is necessary

PERFECT FOR: couples looking for adventure together, groups of friends, and solo travellers who want to explore outside the obvious circuits.

New gear, certified instructors, and full insurance. Operation established over 5 years ago in Morro — thousands of travellers have already taken this route and come back saying it was the best day of their trip.
