What you can expect

  • Step into the nostalgic world of Onomichi, a picturesque slope town famous for its historic hillside temples, stone-paved alleys, and sweeping views of the Seto Inland Sea. Experience the deeply romantic atmosphere that has inspired famous Japanese artists, novelists, and filmmakers for generations on an immersive guided walking tour.

    1. Senkoji Mountain & Panoramic Inland Sea Views
Gather near Onomichi Station and walk to the base of the ropeway. Glide up to the summit of Mount Senkoji aboard the aerial ropeway. From the peak observatory, take in breathtaking panoramic views of the Onomichi Channel and the islands dotting the Seto Inland Sea before visiting the ancient, cliffside Senkoji Temple.

    2. Historic Stone Slopes & Cat Alley (Neko-no-Hosomichi)
Descend the mountain at a relaxed pace along charming downhill stone paths. Meander through the Path of Literature and the world-famous Cat Alley (Neko-no-Hosomichi)—a quirky, atmospheric street lined with artistically painted 'fortune stone cats,' hidden courtyards, and beautifully restored heritage cafes.

    3. Retro Arcade & Local Onomichi Ramen Tips
