During the tour of the old town, hints are given to the Cathedral and its extraordinary history from the outside. Palazzo del Capitano del Popolo

  • 10m
The Palazzo del Capitano del Popolo is one of the main symbols of medieval Orvieto and testifies to the political importance that the city had in the period of free municipalities. Built in the 13th century, it dominates the square of the same name, still a lively meeting point, surrounded by cafes, restaurants and the traditional city Point of Sale, which preserves its ancient commercial and social vocation.

Piazza della Repubblica

  • 10m
Piazza della Repubblica is one of the most representative places in Orvieto, where centuries of history are reflected in the harmony of its architecture. The square is dominated by the Church of Sant'Andrea, recognisable by the unmistakable twelve-sided bell tower, and the Town Hall, which testifies to the artistic and urban evolution of the city. Even today it is a reference point for city life and an essential stop to discover the charm of the old town.

Rupe di Orvieto

  • 10m
Perched on a spectacular tuff cliff, Orvieto offers panoramic views of the Umbrian countryside. During the tour there will be stops in the most suggestive points of the historic centre, from which to admire the surrounding landscape and grasp the link between the city and the territory that surrounds it.
