Explore the lush flora of the Indonesian countryside with a look at the wildlife that defines the lands outside of Jakarta. This tour takes you to the renowned botanical garden in Bogor and the cool highlands of Puncak for a full day with the diverse and exotic greenery.
After your guide leads you out from your hotel, you make your first stop at the Bogor Botanical Gardens. Once part of the estate grounds for the nearby Bogor Palace, the garden holds more than 15,000 species of trees and plants located among streams and lotus ponds. Walk along the extensive lawns and avenues to admire the refuge for more than 50 different varieties of birds and groups of bats roosting high in the trees.
The tour then takes you out to the fresh air and mountain scenery of Puncak, in the highlands that surround the peak of Mount Gede Pangrango. Have lunch at a local restaurant and get a look at the tea plantations spread over the mountain ridges, the volcanic lake of Telanga Warna, and the Swiss-style chalets that date back to the colonial era before the time comes to head back to Jakarta.
