Overview

  • Cruise from Rhodes to St George’s Bay and Symi for a full day of swimming and island sightseeing. At St George’s Bay, accessible only by boat, swim in the turquoise sea or stay onboard to take in the surrounding cliffs.

Continue to Symi for free time in its colourful harbour, where waterfront cafes and neoclassical mansions reflect the island’s Old-World character.

Onboard WiFi, a bar, and bathrooms make the crossing more comfortable, while the shared cruise returns you to Rhodes the same day.

Activity itinerary

Saint George Bay

  • 50m
On the way to Symi, we visit the legendary St. George’s Bay. This secluded paradise is famous for its 300-meter vertical cliffs that shield the turquoise waters from the wind. ✦ What to do: We drop anchor, allowing you to jump directly from the boat into the crystal-clear sea. ✦ The Best Swim Stop: Spend around 1 hour at St. George’s Bay ✦Applies to specific packages only : a traditional Greek lunch will be served onboard from the St. George Bay stop through to arrival in Symi.

Symi

  • 3h
Remote yet cosmopolitan, Symi is often referred to as the ‘Jewel of the Dodecanese’, thanks to its breathtaking beauty and abundance of Old-World glamour. Experience the low-key charm and mesmerising architecture of this authentic Greek island on a luxurious day cruise to Symi with Mediterranean Sea Cruises. ✦You will have around 3 hours of free time to explore the most picturesque island in Greece. ✦ Architectural Landmarks: Walk the waterfront to see the Symi Clock Tower and the "Peace" statues of the sponge divers. ✦ Local Culture: Visit the famous Sponge Workshops to learn about Symi's deep-sea diving history and buy authentic sea sponges. ✦ Gastronomy: We highly recommend trying the famous "Symi Shrimp" (Simiako Garidaki) at a seaside taverna. These tiny, crispy shrimp are a local delicacy eaten whole.
