What you can expect

  • Escape the crowded tourist spots and explore one of Shimla’s most breathtaking offbeat trails — the Shali Tibba hike. Standing at 2,872 metres, Shali Tibba offers 360° views of the Greater Himalayas, lush forests, and peaceful valleys.

Begin with a scenic drive from Shimla to Khatnol, the base village. From here, start a beautiful forest trail that gradually opens into ridge sections with stunning views. Along the way, learn about the region’s history, local culture, and wildlife from your guide.

At the summit, experience complete silence, fresh mountain air, and panoramic views stretching across the Pabbar Valley, Pir Panjal, and Kullu ranges. Enjoy a peaceful break at the historic Shali Temple before descending the same route.

This experience is suitable for beginners with moderate fitness and is one of Shimla’s most rewarding day hikes.
