What you can expect

  • Begin your day with a convenient pickup from your hotel in Urumqi. Set off on a scenic 2-hour drive, heading deep into the heart of Xinjiang.

    Then, your first stop is the S101 Danxia Landform Viewing Platform. Spend 1.5 hours exploring the vibrant red canyons and capturing stunning photos of the unique rock formations.

    Next, head to a local restaurant for lunch (own expense), before continuing to the Kangjia Shimenzi Rock Paintings. Spend 1.5 hours discovering ancient nomadic culture as you admire the intricate rock carvings.

    Finally, visit the Kenswat Blue Lake, known for its dreamy blue-green waters. Spend 1.5 hours soaking up the tranquil atmosphere and taking photos of the crystal-clear lake.

    After a full day of exploration, relax on the drive back to Urumqi, where you’ll be dropped off at your hotel.
