⛰️ About the lake and national park Biogradska Gora:
The most popular symbol of “Biogradska Gora National Park” is Biograd Lake, which is located in the heart of the rainforest at an altitude of 1094m, making it the largest glacial lake on the mountain of Bjelasica. Being one of the UNESCO World Network of Biosphere Reserves, this area has one of the last three large virgin rainforests in Europe. The forest covers an area of 1,600 hectares, representing a biological treasury, some of tries are over 400 years old (has been confirmed so far.) You will never regret this trip. Promise!
We drive into the breathtaking Moraca Gorge passing capital city Podgorica, until we reach the first town in the north, Kolasin, amazing quiet and cold north city. Than we continue to drive to the Biograd lake.
You can hike around the lake (optional). The hike takes 1 hour. You can rent boat and kayak without motor. On the way back we will visit the capital of Montenegro Podgorica and choose the best restaurant for you and your appetites.
⛰️ Itinerary:
09:00 - Start from Old Town, Kotor, Budva, Tivat.
10:30 - Arrival at Podgorica capital, breakfast break (optional)
12:00 - Arriving to Kolasin city 13:45 PM - Arrival at Ski centre Kolasin
14:30 - Arrival at Biograd lake 15:00 PM - Boat (kayak) ride, swimming (depending on the temperature)
18:30 - returning to Podgorica
19:30 - Diner in Podgorica (optional)
19:40 PM - Return to Kotor, Budva , Tivat
