During the trip, our guides will also share insights about the Vjosa River, including how it was formed and why it is considered one of the last wild rivers in Europe. This adds an extra layer to the experience and helps you better understand the unique environment you are exploring.
A special part of this experience is meeting Arelta Tabaku, the first certified female rafting guide in Albania. Raised by the river, she learned to navigate its waters from the age of 12 under the guidance of her father. Her storey reflects the passion, tradition, and local knowledge that make this experience truly unique.
Your adventure begins at our eco-camp, where you will be welcomed and equipped with all necessary safety gear. After a short transfer to the starting point, your guides will provide clear instructions so you feel confident and ready on the water.
As you paddle together as a team, enjoy both peaceful stretches perfect for taking in the scenery and exciting rapids that bring energy and fun to the journey. Depending on the water level, there may also be opportunities for swimming in the river and even cliff jumping at safe spots selected by your guides.
After the rafting, return to our eco-camp to relax in a peaceful natural setting. Freshen up with a shower, enjoy a complimentary glass of traditional locally brewed raki, and take your time to unwind while surrounded by nature and warm hospitality.
