You can enjoy the warmth of the log fire while using the barbecue in the winter months., toast mallows or roast chestnuts. Very near Bike Park Wales, We are only twenty minutes from the Beacons, 38 mins from Swansea, Porthcawl, Barry, Penarth, Cardiff Bay/Marina, Ogmore, Llantwit Major Beaches, Dan yr Ogof Caves, Stunning Waterfalls.
20 mins from the Mountain Railway, and 15 to the Welsh Whisky Distillery visitor centre,

Less than 5 mins away is a New State of the Art Leisure Centre with lots of facilities including snooker, Swimming pool., with babies pool and diving pool., also the Dare Valley Country Park with Horse Riding and laser shooting, amazing trails and walks and stunning mountain views. Aberdare Park is only a few minutes’ drive, with a large lake filled with wildfowl, large Swan and Dragon Boats, a massive children’s playground, bowling green, tennis and lots of walks. Make sure you take a picnic and plenty of bread to feed the ducks, swans and squirrels.
A large, established Snooker Club, convenience store, Italian, Indian Restaurant, Post Office, Doctor, Pharmacy etc, some only minutes walk.

had a lovely stay , the house keeper welcomed us in so nicely and made us feel so comfortable when we checked in ... the house was spacious and child friendly, enjoyed the swing slides hot tub and the outing around, we loved cardiff white water rafting, the many waterfalls, and seeing shooting stars one midnight adventure

Family getaway

Lovely house to stay for a big family , everything you need in the property and more . Great outdoor area for relaxing and for little ones to play . Area good and quiet not far from the town and shops and there are takeaways across the road . Within easy reach of many holiday favourites beaches , parks , castles etc there is great selection of leaflets for ideas . We would return in the future . Thank you Diane for hosting us .

Beautiful place

Everything was perfect from beginning where we had everything explained by lovely host until the very last day. We enjoyed spending time in the cottage and will highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a nice place to stay in Brecon Beacons area. Great base for exploring, but same time it feels like home. It was 7 of us all together and we had more than enough space. Hot tub and big outdoor play area is a big bonus. Lovely, lovely place. Highly recommended x

Lovely cottage with close access to all the main sight seeing spots

Lovely cottage well equipped with all amenities you need for a home away from home . The guest was very proactive and comms were brilliant prior to our arrival and during our stay. The cottage is located close to the major sight seeing spots all within 30 min driving distance - four falls trek , Cardiff , caves etc . Nice hot tub to top off the lovely stay :)

Great little break

Great service from the landlady, she was very warm, welcoming and lovely, made sure we had milk, tea and coffees upon arrival. The house had plenty of activities and games for adults and kids and the kids park is bigger than the picture shows, in fact the garden in general was a very generous space with all you would need including a top notch Hot tub. There isn't on site parking but there is free street parking litterally across the road 5 seconds from the front gate which we never struggled to find a space in. Overall I thought this place was perfect for what we needed (family break with kids) for its closeness to local amenities and natural parks and I would recommend and come back again. If we were to be overly critical (and not to take anything away from a great stay), I would say that the bed in the masters was very very noisy, im a light sleeper see.. So any slight bit of movement and the bed squeals. My wife slept through so can't be that bad I suppose? Many thanks for having us.

Great property for family gathering

This property is a bit of a tardis, larger on the inside. Great courtyard garden with seating and hot tub. Bedrooms spacious and over 2 floors. Lovely bathrooms. We were on the top floor and there was a bit of noise from the road and village hall but still slept ok. Well placed for zip world, Caerphilly and the coast. We had a great stay.

We stayed here with another 3 friends. On arrival we were met by Di & Bill. Great hosts and very friendly and approachable. Loads of information about places to visit etc. Very clean and tidy and the hot tub was a bonus. Beds were really comfy. Locals were very friendly. Would definitely go back.

Fabulous !!! Our stay at 266 was great from start to finish. The property had plenty of space and a well thought out garden area particularly the hot tub. The hosts Diane and Bill met us at the property and were lovely people. Would definitely recommend and would have no hesitation in revisiting.

Fantastic stay in fantastic cottage

We had the most amazing break in 266. We were bowled over by how lovely the cottage was just delightful. It was so very clean and everything was covered, no stone unturned. We had everything we needed, Diane is the the most lovely host and even left us some complimentary cakes to enjoy. Diane was warm welcoming and just so very lovely. We cannot wait to go back. It’s a huge recommendation from me and my group.

We really enjoyed our stay there. We went for our friend's 40th and thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful cottage , hot tub and nearby attractions. Diane ( owner of cottage) was so sweet & helpful and took care of everything we asked for. Brilliant service! Would definitely recommend and like to go back there again.

Quirky property

Very quirky property with 'tiki' style outdoor space and hot-tub. Good, space wise. Definitely not a neutral environment and possibly in need of some updating. Loads of information about the area, things to do and local shops & restaurants which was so helpful! wifi was brilliant
