This is a nice, local, quaint hotel. If you are looking for a quiet place to stay in a nice neighborhood it is an excellent choice. If you are attending a conference at the TECCA, this location is about a 15 pound taxi trip each way, but that gives you an opportunity to discuss the world with the local general public. Very Nice.

Occupying a striking baronial style mansion, the Atholl Hotel is impressive inside and out. Conveniently located in an upscale area of Aberdeen, the city centre is just a short bus ride or walk away. Friendly, and welcoming, staff contribute ro the relaxing ambience. An excellent selection of cooked and buffet breakfast options provide a great start to the day. Rooms are spacious and well-appointed, although the very firm mattress took a little getting used to. Overall, the Atholl Hotel provides a winning combination of comfort and value.

Love this hotel which has also had a wee upgrade since being taken over by its new owners recently but still retains its warm welcome for visitors as well as being a popular venue for locals. Parents first stayed here in 1962 and it was always a favourite for family meals out or a drink in the bar. Had a lovely warm and comfortable room and fab breakfast! Bus stop into the centre is just outside or it’s a fine walk into town or to Rosemount (just allow for the uphill on the way back 😊) So glad it’s not another Aberdeen hotel that’s been turned into flats!
