The hotel was clean and had a comfortable feel to it. The staff were friendly both in reception and the restaurant which also provided good food. The room was exceptionally high standard. The only downside was a constant low frequency noise which continued throughout the night. It sounded like an air con generator but definitely some sort of machinery. For this reason, only 4 stars allocated. Other than that, excellent.

The hotel is in a residential area and has safe parking. The breakfast was wonderful and the bar and restaurant looked inviting in the evening. The thing that let the hotel down was that the beds and pillows were extremely uncomfortable. Note - we learnt as we checked our that if you phone the hotel to book they will match all pricing found online and usually give you a better room than an Expedia booking!!

The Athol is a cosy hotel in a nice residential area in Aberdeen. The service is first class, the bar and restaurant was comfortable. Parking is free. Breakfast is good

Very nice hotel. Room very comfortable. Lack of elevators to all floors is not good. Complementary help from the staff would be a good idea. Breakfast was great.
