Budget hotel review

The blind on the window didn't work. The carpet was threadbare. I had to crouch down to fit under the shower (I'm six foot tall -not especially big). The room was ok. Staff were fine. It was clean. The location was close to the restaurants, bus train and ferry so that was convenient.

It is an older building so the layout is very interesting with lots of stairs to various different levels. It is not tall so never to many stairs to your room. Union street is only a block away and it has everything you want on it.

Two words: bed bugs

We found BED BUGS in the first room we got given (room 9: be careful), and the room we got then moved into was dirty, didn’t have a functioning bathroom light, and wasn’t made up throughout our stay. Wouldn’t stay here again if they paid me

This once is very run down and the room had cobwebs and the bathroom had hairs etc. there was a fusty smell. The place needs upgraded.

Booked knowing wasnt high star rating but wow it not even worth a one. We had limited time(1night) as were up for occasion so had grin and bear it unfortunately,although i did clean it quickly(i own a cleaning business). Place not far from been condemned!!

Location was perfect as it’s close to union square but the room it self was not cleaned properly. My room had a hole in the door and was broken at the bottom. There was black mole on my bathroom floor. Bed had stains. The carpet flooring had a hole in it. The vent in the bathroom has dust all in it. My heating didn’t work ether

I was out in a room without windows only a sky light which I couldn’t open! The room was roasting. There was a remote to open the blind for the sky light but every time you open the blind bugs fall out! It was horrible.

AVOID THIS HOTEL AND HOTELS.COM LIKE THE PLAGUE

Do not go to this hotel . They steal your money and do not give you a room . They did the same to a young couple and the girl was pregnant , sli.e of humanity for me . Hoels.com are just as bad as they refuse to give you your money back aswell , twice in a row . The last hotel had slugs climbing up the door and the roo.m was full of rubbish , but they still refused to return my money . AVOID THIS HOTEL AND HOTELS.COM OR YOU WILL GET YOUR MONEY STOLEN FRO. YOU . The staff on the front desk were the epitome of what is wrong with the UK and couldnt understand ain English . Choose either at your peril
