The hotel is really really old, old to the extent that you don't have this hotel feeling nor the refreshment and change because you left home. Usually staying in a hotel makes you feel that you want to chnage your home to a hotel, but Millennium Downtown Abu Dhabi makes you feel homesick. And want to get back to you home ASAP.

It seems the building is aging a lot. First two nights, we had an adjoining room where the other residents volume just seeped into the room at 1-4am! The hotel was kind enough to move us to 19th floor, where the room had a strong moldy smell. Turns out we saw mold in the baseboards and bathroom where there is much water damage. We don’t ask for a third room, just lived with it. The surrounding area just seems a little rough too.

The staff was attentive and friendly. The room has seen better times with hot water non available at times and the shower appliances not working or leaking. The wait for the elevator can be very long at peak times. Gym is very limited
