A Home with History
Built around 1913, Acme Motorworks Heritage House celebrates the people who helped shape the South Fork Valley during the late 1800s and early 1900s. Throughout the home you'll discover historical displays and stories that honor the pioneers who established this remarkable community.
The Zobrist Room
Named in honor of Fred (Fritz) Zobrist, one of the valley's early Swiss pioneers, this spacious heritage room features a full-size poster bed, antique wardrobe, Merchant Marine secretary desk, period furnishings, comfortable seating area, and writing desk.
The Fred Room
A relaxing queen bedroom featuring a comfortable queen-size bed, antique couch, and historical displays sharing the story of Fred Zobrist and the early settlement of the South Fork Valley.
The Mattie Room
Named for Mattie Zobrist, one of the valley's early matriarchs, this room features one freestanding twin bed and a twin-over-twin bunk bed. Historical displays tell the story of Mattie's arrival in the South Fork Valley during the 1890s and the important role pioneer families played in building the community.
Loft & Flexible Sleeping Space
The spacious loft provides additional room for your group to gather, relax, or sew. It comfortably accommodates three portable sewing tables and is a favorite place to work on quilting, embroidery, knitting, or other creative projects.
If your group needs additional sleeping space, the loft can also accommodate up to five twin-size air mattresses (provided by your group with prior approval), making the home suitable for larger gatherings while still providing room to move around comfortably.
Just off the loft is a peaceful Meditation & Reading Nook, which can also accommodate one additional twin-size air mattress if desired.
