Athelstone is a beautiful, leafy suburb. If you love nature, but still want the convenience of being close enough to modern conveniences, this is the perfect area for you. Please be mindful that the home is surrounded by much greenery and trees etc. so you may come across insects and the like. We have had the home treated with preventive insect treatment to reduce the numbers inside the home as much as possible, however it is not a guarantee they will not come inside. We provide insect surface spray at the house should you feel the need to use it during your stay in and around the property.

Athelstone is very popular with local families. It is located approximately 10km North East of Adelaide CBD and is close to so many places and things to do.

There are plenty of shops within a 5 minute drive and many choices for delicious food and coffee.

For a nature walk, Black Hill conservation park is only a 4 minute drive up the road. The famous Morialta Falls and huge, nature playground is also only 8 mins away. Thorndon Park with it's big ovals, BBQ areas, large outdoor chess set, water reservoir, updated modern playground and birdlife including ducks, water hens and some times the occasional goose is only 4mins drive down the road.

Drive 20 minutes up Gorge road and you'll be even more immersed in nature and can have friendly animal encounters at the Gorge Wildlife Park. The kids will love hand feeding and patting the animals! You can even hold the koalas. Please check the Gorge Wildlife Park website for more details before going.

The famous Barossa Valley is only a 45 minute drive.

And if you fancy a visit to the beach, Semaphore Beach is only about 30-40mins drive (depending on time of day).

If you like golf, the local Lochiel Park Golf at Geoff Heath Par 3 course down the road is very convenient.

You will have the entire house, backyard and garage to enjoy, apart from the cleaner's cupboard in the back hall, which will be locked. Guest cleaning supplies are under the kitchen sink and in the laundry cupboards, which you're welcome to use.

There’s enough space to easily park 2 cars on the paving out the front of the house. There’s also a spacious single garage with a roller door with remote control you can access.

For larger vehicles like caravans and boats, there is also free, untimed street parking nearby. All parking is at your own risk. So please ensure you have adequate insurance and take usual protective measures such as locking your vehicle and covering valuables etc.

The driveway up to the housing estate is shared, so please ensure your vehicle(s) do not encroach or block the driveway. Thank you.
