The Archontiko Theodora is positioned 20 kilometres from the centre of Afetes. Another alternative is the Pilion Terra, which is located 20 kilometres away. Two more places to stay are the Hotel Petrino and the Archontiko Naoumidi.

After you've explored Afetes for a while, be sure to set aside a few more days to discover Greek Mainland's many other offerings. Greek Mainland boasts beaches, coastal plains and rivers. Popular Greek Mainland visitor destinations are the castles, traditional villages and old towns. Fun-loving types can also try snowboarding, skiing and mountain biking in this part of Greece.

It is well known that we Kiwis are pretty laid back, so consider staying a little longer and check out the Abovos Beach, Santa Marina Church and Afetes Town Square, which you'll find in South Pelion, 10 kilometres to the south of Afetes. Skiathos Island National Airport is located 30 kilometres from the centre of Afetes. Should you wish to stay nearby, you can book a night at the Hotel Babis or the Irida Hotel.
