Love Akaroa was designed with busy adults in mind. It is a place of peace and tranquility, where you can escape the kids, work, or life's general demands - just relax and look after you. The large open-plan kitchen/living room features floor to ceiling windows, allowing uninterrupted views from the hills to the ocean in the distance. It opens out onto a large deck on which you can relax and enjoy the view from the outdoor dining and lounge furniture. The bedroom features a walk in wardrobe and ensuite and also has floor to ceiling windows that open onto a smaller deck with an outdoor bathtub. Soak in a hot bath under the stars at night, or listen to the native birds by day. The point of difference for this property is the retro cinema room which is located downstairs. Make fresh popcorn in the popcorn maker (popcorn provided) and enjoy your favourite movie in the professionally set up cinema for two. There is also a fully equipped laundry and main bathroom with a rugby shower downstairs. Love Akaroa is set up with quality linen and towels, tea, coffee and complimentary toiletries. Great spot for viewing the aurora light show

Property as described. A lookout point for Akaroa & surrounds. Was an unexpectedly chilly weekend but a hot bath on the balcony under the stars with the spectacular aurora light show more than making up for it. What a weekend!

Beautiful spacious home , very relaxing. Enjoyed the beautiful fireplace with our morning coffee. Loved the electric window shades. Had lovely views from the balcony and outdoor tub. Kitchen was very well equipped including the popcorn maker for the cinema room. Would definitely recommend

Akaroa Oasis

Beautiful, clean and relaxing place to stay. Enjoyed the outdoor bath surrounded by birdsong at night. Comfortable bed and lots of little things have been thought of. It was a bit of a walk to the township but definitely manageable and we enjoyed many of the local bars and eateries.

Spacious haven

A spacious haven overlooking Akoroa valley. The couches were cosy, the bed comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. We were there in winter so didn’t use the sunny deck, but the outside bathtub was a wonderful relaxation in combination with bird song and sunset. It’s up a steep hill so a car is essential.
