To the west of Albufeira centre sits Albufeira's colourful marina. It's a great spot this for passing a lazy afternoon watching people and boats, and sipping coffees or a beer from one of the many chic coffee shops come bars lining the marina. You can tell considerable effort, and investment, has gone into Albufeira Marina. It's beautifully colourful, with dolphin sculptures and more. There's a yacht club here, plus shops, and various boat trips depart from the marina.

Long term stay

The location was great for us. Was well equipped for short term stay.Had some issues with the power going out often if you tried to do two things at once. But the property manager answered right away and once we knew how to get it back on no problem.The apt is a little tired and is in need of a little love. You can tell it is only used by renters that don’t really care. No cleaning supplies on site or vacuum, just a broom and mop for a long term stay it would have been nice to have proper cleaning supplies. Overall a good stay.

A Perfect Stay

We stayed here for 5 weeks and had such a great time. The location is extremely convenient with a number of restaurants at your door step and a quick walk or Uber/Bolt/Taxi/tourist train or Tuk tuk ride to old town which are waiting all outside the front door. We really enjoyed this unit in particular as the building was smaller than some of the others so only one other apartment on the floor. The air conditioning worked well as did the dishwasher and laundry so was great for a longer stay. We hope to return some day and would not hesitate to book here again. The beaches and albufeira in general were amazing. Thank you to the owner and property managers for making our stay such a memorable one.

Apartment was good for 5 of us, with one on the sofa. Kitchen was small but had most of the items we needed to do a few meals. That said, if we used the oven and had the air conditioner on (in the living room) at the same time, the power would have to be reset. The location suitednour needs as we had a rental car. Warning!!! If you keep the spare key in the keyhole on the inside of door, it will cause you to be unable to use the key on the outside to get back in the apartment, as it will jam the lock. Costly mistake, as we had to pay to get the door opened by the handyman. Just mentioning this, as locks do not function the same everywhere around the world.

Excellent apartment, location was good to explore Albufeira old town and surrounding areas, you do have plenty of bars and restaurants on your doorstep. You don’t need to go far if you don’t want to. Would highly recommended and I will be back 😊

Want to Return!!!!

My husband and I stayed at this apartment on the marina for a month (we stayed here last year for a month too). My sister and brother-in-law joined us for a little over a week. All of us liked the convenience of the location. It offers transportation in the front of the building, restaurants and boat tours down a flight of stairs by the marina, and is within walking distance to Old Town. There are 2 elevators to the third floor apartment. It was spacious enough for the four of us. The kitchen is fully equipped and the beds are firm and comfortable. We loved sitting on the balcony watching the comings and goings of the tour boats. Since the balcony faces south we got sun all day long. Another plus is the pool. It is well taken care of. So clean and we could always find a lounge chair. We had one problem, which was our own fault. We locked ourselves out of the apartment on a Saturday! Both set of keys were on the table in the apartment. Carlos was such a huge help getting us back in! Thank you again! My husband and I sincerely hope to return for a third visit next year.

Algarve getaway

The location was excellent, lots of restaurants, bars and activities nearby. There's a private crystal clear pool but the beach was not easily accessible from the Marina, even though it says 800 meters. There was underground parking included which was great as it kept the car cool. The apartment was a good size, with a balcony overlooking pool and marina. However there are a few minor improvements that could be made to improve the overall experience. The lock on the front door was antiquated and difficult to use. Kitchen had new appliances, but was meagerly equipped, no filters for coffee maker, no paper towels, and the corkscrew was broken are some examples. The dining room chairs looked new but when you sat on them you sank down as there was no bottom on the chairs The tv remote battery cover kept falling off and the batteries in the air conditioner remote need changing. The beds were hard, and our hips hurt after after 2 weeks of sleeping on them. There was a tub in the ensuite bathroom with a hand held shower which was awkward to use. There was a good size TV but there was only 6 Portuguese channels to chose from. Luckily we could sign into our Netflix account to watch English language shows. All in all we had a great time and enjoyed being in that location.

A most comfortable apartment AND holiday!

The photos don’t do this place justice. The whole apartment is rather big with air condition in every room. We are 2 adults and 3 children (12-17 yes old) and found the apartment most comfortable and relaxing to be in. Swimming pool was such a great amenity to have as the boys were in it EVERYDAY, a few times a day too! Closest Beach is about 20 mins walk and Old Town is just next to it. Intermache (supermarket) is also about 20 mins walk. Uber is convenient and cheap too but adds up especially for family of 5 as you’ll need bigger vehicle which costs more. Just to note, the apartment only provides the initial supplies needed and thereafter, you’ll need to buy them yourselves. This applies to; toilet paper & rubbish bags, dishwashing tablets (3provided) washing detergent (none provided). (There was no sponge or dishcloth so it meant cleaning up the kitchen was a bit tricky). Check in with Carlos was super easy and he also helped arrange our airport transfer. All in all, we had such a great time here, so relaxing and comfortable! We have no problem recommending this place to our friends! Thank you!

Fantastic Apartment in Beautiful Location

We were met by Carlos the Property Agent who also arranged a taxi to collect us from airport which was great. We absolutely loved the apartment. To open the curtains in the morning to such a beautiful marina was amazing. You had loads of restraurants and bars on the marina to keep you entertained along with all the boats trips which we also tried. The walk into the old town is roughly 15-20 mins but there was also plently of taxis right outside the apartment to take you into town at around 6 euros. The pool was quite quiet which was great for us as we could get a sun lounger no problem. We had an amazing time and would definitely like to return 😊

We Loved This Marina

We stayed in this beautiful marina apartment for a month and our friends visited for a week. We didn't need to rent a car as the street side location offered taxi service, buses (local and hop on hop off), and a train trolly. Transfer services (that were booked online) transported us from and to the Faro Airport. We also used a transfer service to plan our own 1/2 day trip to Porches to visit the pottery factory. The Old Town section of Albufeira is a 20 minute walk uphill from the marina as is Fishermans Beach which offers an elevator down to the beach. Eating was never a problem! There are so many restaurants, both at the marina and in Old Town, all within walking distance. One of our favorites was the Italian restaurant, a short walk up the hill toward Old Town. The apartment was extremely clean. Housekeeping came in once a week to change the bed linens, towels (bring your own beach towel), and clean surfaces. The beds were firm and comfortable. The balcony was one of my favorite places to sit to watch the people and tour boats come and go. Communication with the owner, Dr X, and Carlos, property manager, was excellent. We definitely hope to return one day. Loved this vacation!!

Nice and relaxing

Apartment was clean and there was plenty of room (2 adults, 1 teen) and had everything you would need for a short stay (11 nights). The marina itself has everything you would need, both for adults and children. Great air conditioning in the apartments and nice balconies which look out over the marina. I would hope to return to stay in these apartments in future. Next year hopefully! The only small gripe I would have would be the swimming pool area. The pool rule notice states that it does not allow used sun beds to be left unattended for more than 30 minutes or the “belongings may be removed”. However, there were a couple of families that would flaunt this rule and left their belongings unattended for hours at a time, using up to 8 of the 10 available sun beds which meant that other families could not avail of the pool facilities. This is not a reflection of our overall stay or the apartment which were both great but more to do with the policing of the complexe’s pool rules.
