The hotel is in desperate need of a remodel. The furniture is worn out, the bedding smells like body oils, and the carpet is tattered. The location is great, but the price and condition of the hotel make it difficult to provide a positive review.

Crumbling walls. Nobody at front desk for checkout. Barking dogs in room across the hall. Handicap door push button didn’t work at front entrance. I have to wait 3 to 5 working days to get my “required” $50 deposit for incidentals (what incidentals ? There is no mini bar anything you can charge to your room). To be fair, the included breakfast was better than most. I had stayed at this hotel years past, it is now going downhill and needs repairs. Now in the budget hotel category.

I really liked the location of this hotel. The neighborhood felt safe and it was easy to get to. I loved how pet friendly the place was, unlike any other hotel weve been to. They even had a "doggy bag" for our pup with a little toy, treats, waste bags and a print out of anything you could possibly need for your dog (vet info, pet supplies). The breakfast was amazing! There was an awesome oatmeal station and a waffle station. We loved this place so much we booked it again for on our way back from Vegas. This will probably be our stopping spot for trips to Vegas. On our 2nd stay I was approached by a woman in a van wanting money...I know this happens everywhere. But it wasnt difficult to get her to leave. The staff here were also extremely nice and pleasant. The rooms are a perfect size and I love the full size fridge.

I loved the hotel and room. Safe area with convenience to food & shopping. Room was clean and very comfortable! We stay in a LOT of hotels during the year for business and this is one of my favorites!!

Overnight family trip

Perhaps a more thorough vacuuming of the floor for there were few pieces of dog food left from the previous occupant(s), but overall the room was clean and the bed was comfortable.

Dated hotel needs a remodel

Homewood Suits Albuquerque Uptown has always been my go to hotel for trips. The breakfast is amazing and the staff and grounds look and feel safe. However, I was really surprised how dated the hotel looked on my recent visit. As soon as I opened the door the room it had a really bad odor. It reminded me of the smell that greets you when you walk into a Goodwill (body oils and old furniture). The furniture was tattered and had no firmness, and also had a strong odor. The bed sheets smelled like body oils and were worn out. The tack strip on the carpet was exposed and caused a lot of pain if you forgot to step over it. The chairs in the breakfast area are old, unstable, and have depressions in the cushions from all the use. The place desperately needs an update. I was disappointed because I paid more to stay at the Homewood versus the surrounding hotels. Until, they undergo a remold I will have to stay elsewhere.
