Very Nice Room but Not a Great Area

The hotel was clean and convenience. The staff was great. The surrounding area was not good. There were people wandering the halls that caused me and my daughter to be concerned. At one point there was an inebriated elderly man running down the hall towards us. When I asked him if he was alright he mumbled that he was trying to get to his room fast. The sliding patio doors were permanently sealed "for the guests" safety. They did have lots of cameras and security. On the bright side, great value for the room and cleanliness. I do not want to be too tough on the place, since it was my choice to pay less, and its hard to control the neighborhood. Overall, I might stay there again if it was just me and I wanted a cheap and nice room. I would not let my adult daughter stay there and probably would not recommend it to families.

The front desk girls were great, friendly, quick and to the point. The room was decent. However, The breakfast was very underwhelming, low quality and choices. The kitchen lady had a bad attitude when asking for some milk. Multiple families with children with only 1 highchair. The workout facility was in state of disrepair, only one treadmill worked, no A/C. Our overall stay was decent but could use improvement.

Surprisingly Great Place

Given the bargain price for the room we were amazed at how wonderful the place was. I think it had been recently bought by a new owner. Whoever that was is doing a great job, even if it will cost more as it catches on!! It was a bit hard to find tucked in by the freeway but none of the noise penetrated!!

The room was stocked with only two towels which was not adequate for our family of four. Walking back to the desk for towels was annoying. Breakfast was seriously lacking. The staff member was working hard to keep the tables clean and food selections stocked. However there were no fruits or protein options such as eggs, bacon, or sausage to accompany the bagels, pancakes, and cereal options.

They need to do a better job cleaning. There was fingerprints all over the glass door. There was a cookie under our bed and the carpet didn’t look that clean. It’s just not the cleanest place. However, the people there are lovely very nice people. They just need to tell their cleaning staff to step up.

The room was not clean. There was someone elses hair elastic and a used flosser on the floor. I had to lay down towels to walk from bathroom to bed without shoes. The bedsheets were ripped. The TV didn't get most channels. When I called the front desk I was 1. Hung up on and 2. placed on a long hold until I just gave up because it was late
