Spacious home near Torch Lake w/custom back patio, steps away from public access

Enjoy the perfect family get away, right across the street from one of Torch Lake’s best public accesses. This three bedroom, two bath home sleeps eight people and features all the amenities including high-speed wifi and a custom-built back deck for you and your family to relax and enjoy. Laundry is on site and we covered the basics including a full set of pots and pans, cooking utensils, a coffee maker, a toaster, and a blender in the kitchen. We also include shampoo, conditioner and body wash, towels, and a hair dryer in each bathroom. Anything else you might need can be found 1 mile down the road at the local grocery store.

We are within 1.5 miles of the beautiful little town of Alden, Michigan. View all Torch Lake has to offer at many of the local shops and restaurants, or hit the water from the easily accessed public boat launch. We do have parking for two vehicles plus a boat trailer at the rental, so bring your own boat or rent one from any of the local rental services. Alden boasts some of the finest small-town vibes in Michigan and its entirely family friendly with two different ice cream shops and a children’s park within walking distance of downtown. All the family fun in one cozy destination.

If you’re more of an adventurist, there is also a kayak and SUP rental company in downtown Alden or you can bring your own and launch right across the street. We also have a few nice rivers in the area to really immerse yourself in nature. If two wheels are your thing, Glacial Hills has a nice set of flow mountain bike trails that can be ridden or hiked. If you prefer hiking there are several beautiful nature areas to explore including Coy Mountain, Glacial Hills and Grass River Natural Area.

Looking for a more leisurely activity? We are minutes away from the award-winning Shanty Creek Resorts golf courses — including Hawk Eye, Cedar River, and The Legend.

I live near by and can be conveniently reached at any time and do my best to offer quick responses to any concerns you may have. There are security cameras located outside the rental at the front doors and in the driveway. Unless requested, our rental is no contact, hassel-free so you will be given a code prior to your check-in to access the main entry door.

The property is perfect. Beds are so comfy, my husband and I slept really well. Everything was what we needed and wanted. Daniel exceeded our expectation in hosting our week vacation. He left recommendations of restaurants and things to do around town. We went to every spot and loved it. This was the most relaxing vacation I have been on and would definitely book the home again. Its a beautiful spot and home.

The house was close to the sand bar and restaurants, so a perfect location for visiting torch lake. The only downfall was the mattress in the master bedroom was extremely uncomfortable. Felt like I was sleeping on the floor. My family had no issues with the other two bedrooms. Would stay here again.

Wonderful place to enjoy everything that Torch Lake has to offer. Starting from the location, you can even walk across the street easily to a public access or just a short drive to quaint Alden or down to the marina to get a boat.Now, about the place, it was everything we were hoping for our family lake getaway, and more! It was super cozy and with all possible appliances and gear you could need during your stay, even board games, a mighty grill and a fire pit for added entertainment. For families with younger kids, this was super safe and accommodating.For remote workers, WiFi was reliable and the small dedicated desk area was a nice to have.Lastly, Daniel was super helpful and thoughtful of the guests, like having some of the cooking basics (I.e. oil, spices…), which as a traveling family are always appreciated, instead of having to buy new ones every time.We would definitely stay here again.

Great spot on Torch Lake

The location and accommodations are perfect. The beach and park are across the street. Shopping, dining, and fun are just minutes via walking distance or a short drive. Daniel’s home had everything we wanted and needed. I highly recommend this home and owner.

The space itself is very nice, however, our experience was not as enjoyable as it could have been due to some faulty smoke alarms that kept going off at random times during our stay. They went off two separate nights waking everyone up and causing panic. The owner attempted a repair, but the next day they went off again bringing half the fire department out to the house when the owner could not be reached. A real damper on an otherwise wonderful trip.

We could not have been happier with our stay at this home! Property was very clean, warm and welcoming. Beds were comfortable, and kitchen well stocked. There was so many great benefits to this home from the island, the layout of home & the unbelievable deck with mini fridge, gas fireplace, blackstone, outdoor games and table & chairs!!! This property was super clean! The host was very helpful with things to do in the area and had fast responses. There was also so welcome gifts that made us smile and we was very appreciative. I would recommend this place 10/10 would stay again.

We had an exceptional stay at this property! The house was clean, spacious, and beautifully decorated, providing a perfect blend of comfort and style. Perfect for Boat weekend!

This house was perfect for our adult weekend on Torch lake. The cleanliness of the house was the first thing all of us noticed. Plenty of space in the main area for a group of people to hang out and the back patio was great as well! Daniel was prompt at answering my questions leading up to and during the stay. The big half circle driveway was also a plus and made life easy for the multiple vehicles and our boat we had parked there. The location was perfect for us too, minutes away from the DNR boat launch that we used and an easy drive to surrounding restaurants and stores.

Great House/Deck but right on busy road

This is a great house to stay at if you are looking to drop your boat into the South end of Torch Lake using the Alden Boat Launch. The house was very clean and updated with plenty of space for our family. The back deck is very nice and it was great to have the black stone as an option for cooking. The house is very well stocked and the owners were easy to communicate with and provided lots of helpful information. It was extremely helpful to have a driveway to pull our boat through as well. I did want to mention that this house is right on a busy road, so there is quite a bit of road noise. The rooms do have fans which help drown it out a bit, but cars are flying by quite often. We still had a great time and really enjoyed this home since we spent most of our time on the lake anyways.

Lovely home, great location. This home was well equipped with many amenities to make a family feel right at home. Modern and Clean

We stayed here for 3 nights. There were 5 adults so we used all of the bedrooms but not the bunk beds or futons. The place was very modern and looked like all new appliances. Great kitchen, bathrooms, and living area with huge tv. We also like the fans in every room and enjoyed the outdoor patio. The only downside is that the master bedroom smelled a little musty and it sits off a busy road but it was a great location to a market, cute places to eat and right across an access point to Torch Lake

Wonderful Torch Lake Trip with Couples

Stayed with 3 couples, very clean and modern indoor space. Beautiful outside decking area with patio table, black stone grill, beverage frig and gas fire pit. Amble parking for boat and jet ski trailers. Within 10 minutes of DNR Torch River boat launch. Kitchen equipped with everything you need for cooking. Host even provided smore kit and complementary local coffee and wine!

Torch Lake vacation

We just spent a week at this property for a family vacation with 4 adults and 3 young children. Property was clean; house was recently renovated and very comfortable. Many outdoor games for the kids to use on the patio. Good location for exploring Traverse City and other Michigan "up north" areas. Owner responded immediately to any questions I had. Torch lake access and great open area park area was a short walk but across the busy road. Kids needed to be monitored carefully due to traffic. We did though, take advantage of the park/beach as well as others in town, including tennis courts close by.

Amazing Vacation

Excellent family getaway! House was as great as advertised. Very clean, had everything we needed. LOVED the back patio perfect for our family of 6 to cook, eat or just relax. Nice fire pit area. Beautiful home and wonderful hosts!

The home was beautiful - the back patio being our favorite hangout spot to play games and listen to music. We were welcomed with a thoughtful gift for the bonfire - nice touch! Communication was great and the whole checkin and checkout process was a breeze. Right across the street from Torch Lake, a small skip to the cute little town of Alden, and 10 min from Dockside Watersports. Relaxing place to be!
