The large, sunny terrace is one of the highlights of the apartment – perfect for meals outdoors or simply enjoying the view and peaceful surroundings.

Both bedrooms are bright and comfortably furnished. The living room can be fully darkened and converted into an additional sleeping area. The sofa bed is 140 cm wide and comes with a mattress topper for extra comfort. The apartment accommodates up to six guests.

The nearest supermarket is in neighbouring Alpnach (3 minutes by car / 15 minutes by public transport). If you’re arriving by train, it’s a good idea to buy the basics at Lucerne station before heading here.

Convenient and close to train stop. Quiet area with hiking options close by. Outdoor patio was a great place to have breakfast and dinner. Place was clean and comfortable with plenty of space. Would come back to this house.

What an absolutely charming apartment! Fiona has done a marvelous job thinking through every detail in this modern, clean, renovated and extremely convenient accommodation! Providing ample space for a family of 4, Pilatus Nest is literally a stone's throw from the funicular servicing Mount Pilatus and offers easy access to the train station (3 minute walk!). In our three day, 4 night stay, we were able to climb three peaks (Titlis, Rigi, and Pilatus), comfortably see Lucerne, Brienz, and Interlaken, and spend time boating and swimming in Lake Lucerne. Because of our busy and compact itinerary, eating breakfasts and dinners in was a must, and the loft's amenities and gorgeous patio made it so enjoyable for my family of four to unwind, drink wine, talk about our adventures, listen to music streamed to the apartment's speaker, and make more memories. Our only challenges were grocery shopping (needed to take the train to Alpnach's Coop to secure groceries) and no AC on one of Switzerland's hottest weekends in years (sleeping with open windows and breathing the fresh outside air was amazing though!). Overall, Pilatus Nest is easily one of the best VRBO's we've stayed in ever, and we do sincerely hope to be back again one day!

We loved our stay! The location was perfect and the apartment is very well appointed and impeccably clean. Fiona made the check in process easy and gave ample information on how to use apartment appliances and gave recommendations on where to eat and what to see in the surrounding area. We were able to visit Mt Rigi, Mt Pilatus and Lucerne with such ease. We would highly recommend this apartment! You won’t be disappointed!

Excellent experience overall. Property was lovely, spacious, tastefully decorated and very near the Alpnachstad cog train station to Pilatus Kulm and the boat docktrain to Luzern. Keep in mind there are quite a few stairs up if you have lots of luggages. The internet was slow unfortunately but the rest of the amenities are excellent We had a great experience and definitely an excellent option if you want to have a full Pilatus experience. Pro tip, go up Pilatus Kulm via cable car in Kriens, down to Alpnachstad via cogwheel train and then take the boat to Luzern. You need to get the timing right and may want to start early but this would be a full day experience
