We made reservations thru Expedia which made the pictures look wonderful but when we arrived it was off a busy highway, rooms were not like appeared in pictures, very primitive, graffiti all over room door inside, pool was a mess and looked under construction, area was mostly asphalt. The girl at the front desk was amazing and sent us to a partner hotel which was WAY NICER with indoor corridors, pool but wasn’t working, pickle ball courts, continental breakfast and more. I was grateful and learned a lesson; find a hotel while you are traveling and visit it before booking.

What a wonderfully cozy place for a great price! The beds were comfortable, the water pressure in the shower was amazing, the A/C unit was easy to work and control to our liking, and plenty of storage space for our luggage. We did have an issue in the first room with the TV not working, to which the staff was accommodating and immediately offered us another room, to which we moved to in moments. And finally, we loved the automatic check-in/check-out process. So easy and convenient, will definitely stay again when we are in Amarillo!

Route 66 stopover was ideal

Initially it was our intention to visit the Steakhouse for dinner and on booking that realised you could stay as well. We were on a Route 66 road trip and it was an ideal stopover both for food and accommodation.

Big Texan Best Place to Stay and Dine in Amarillo!

We booked a room last minute and it was a great find. Loved the whole western atmosphere and decor. Grounds were well maintained and colorful. Having the Restaurant right next door allowed us to relax with a few craft beers. My only negative was the water dripping in the bathtub all night. Notified front desk, so hopefully repair will happen.

Unique property that is intentionally kitschy. The price is fair. Our only issue was with the thin walls between rooms. Of course there isn't a quick fix for that. You have to hope that your neighbors have the same sleep schedule as you.

The good...cute property, big rooms, clean atmosphere, walkable distance from the big texan restaurant, easy to get to from the highway.the pool is huge but was not up running, the ac worked well, actually froze us out. The bad... the bed was hard, the walls were thin we could hear the neighbors.
