Lemon Tree - accommodation in Amer

Room was lovely. We slept really well. Staff were lovely. Actually this trip was for my mums birthday so they made a little cake for her and that was very lovely too. Really wasn’t won over with check in as we were told that they were fully booked and so didn’t have the room we booked but they did manage to find us a room and after that is was ok. This is a wedding hotel and is not for tourists!!! Everything about this hotel is scheduled around the weddings from if you get the room you booked and paid for to the decorations and flowers to the quality of breakfast you will get. The hotel was also undergoing renovations and so the pool area was not particularly nice. The flooring was all chipped and there was a lot of work men up there. The staff just stand around on their phones. Breakfast was so noisy my Mum and I were practically shouting at each other. Not relaxing at all. The first wedding was so noisey. Shouting and screaming in the corridors at night also the room adjoining ours had a telephone ringing consistently and the room is not sound proofed in anyway. The best part of this trip was actually a guitarist they had in the bar who was genuinely amazing!! I slept well. We enjoyed a swim. My mum was very happy with the cake and we had a nice evening in the bar with the music so yes it wasn’t awful and also there was a nice gym and yes the staff were so friendly. I’d never stay there again but I’m hoping that coming up we have some better experiences of Taj hotels.

The Leela Palace was truly extraordinary. The welcome we received brought us to tears—it deeply connected us to our roots and culture. The staff were exceptional throughout our stay. My daughter wasn’t feeling well one morning, and a special thank you to one of our servers, Pradeep, who kindly sent some bread up to her room. Such a thoughtful gesture that meant a lot to our family.

We happened to be there during Holi, so we spent two full days inside the hotel, and honestly we didn’t mind at all because the property itself is so wonderful. The place truly makes you feel like royalty. The service is excellent, cleanliness is impeccable, and the breakfast is absolutely amazing. One of the best perks is the complimentary high tea—it’s so generous that you honestly don’t even feel the need to go out for dinner afterward. They also have a sunset ritual, which is really beautiful to watch and makes the whole experience even more special. Overall, everything was 10/10. Highly recommended! ✨
