Old fashioned hotel. Staff helpful and friendly. walls are very thin, we had kids yelling next door and heard every word said. location good for Museum district . price expensive for what you got.

Good location, close to museums and restaurants. Be aware that there is no air conditioning in the rooms. There is one fan in the wall that does not go below 19 degrees celsius. Most staff were helpful but a few were down right rude. Neighborhood around the hotel always had overflowing garbage cans and broken bottles everywhere. I won't be back.

We got a large room overlooking a canal. The tram system has a stop right there. Windows are double-paned so noise was not a problem. The hotel offers full breakfast onsite. We stayed there 12 nights, using Amsterdam as our base location and adding day trips to other cities; the hotel location made everything easy!

What a great hotel. It was so convenient to all sites. The staff was incredible. They were helpful with every question we had. Amsterdam was a little more dirty than I remembered from the last time. I was disappointed in that.

Amazing Stay, Perfect Location.

We had an amazing stay here in this hotel. Everything was perfect room, location ambience everything. You will get the tram right in front of the hotel which makes it convenient to travel to anywhere. Lot of shops are there. Will definitely visit again here.

The location of this hotel is excellent...with the tram stop (2, 12, 17) just outside the door to make trips to museums, central station, airport, etc., super easy. Great options for restaurants abound in the area. Our room was on the small side, but comfortable and clean with a great view of the canal. The only complaint we would have would be the evening desk attendant...he could use some personality work; otherwise, all others were simply delightful. Breakfast is also pricey with limited options, but there is an excellent bakery just across the street. We would definitely stay here again.

Absolutely perfect choice! People were so friendly and helpful….we loved the lounge area to meet at end of day and have a cocktail or a coffee. Breakfast excellent with amazing service!! Front desk staff incredibly helpful. My only suggestion would be to put a shelf in bathroom for toiletries and a handrail to step out of shower. Housekeeping did a nice job, but didn’t pick up dirty glasses left on desk for a few days, that confused us! Minor complaint! We all agree we would stay there without question.

The first room we had was facing the street and it was too loud with the tram running until mid night. We had to change room. The second room also had issues - the thermostat didn’t work, the toilet didn’t flush properly. The staff did their best to rectify the problems but couldn’t resolve the issues. The staff was very responsive and friendly. We sis like the location of the hotel and walked everywhere. The feedback would’ve been much more positive if it weren’t for the issues listed.

The property and staff were excellent. The managers at the reception are very nice and the breakfast staff. Only two things need to be looked into for minimal improvement. The wifi internet kinda disconnects once in a while so maybe check the internet provider and the shower water pressure is low so maybe you can change the shower handles. Other than that, I love my stay! I wouls go back. Love Dikker & Thijs Hotel the best location ever and view and breakfast is amazing!

Tram was right across the street which was quite helpful.
