Beautiful place to stay. The house is traditional, compact and very quiet. The area is a steep walk up or down to either the village or restaurants/the coast. You have to be fit and able for this! Otherwise you will spend a fortune on taxis!I would have wanted more information before we arrived so I could plan our stay more. Ettore was fabulous once we had arrived and sent loads of local info via WhatsApp, but that would have been useful to have beforehand. I asked for this but nothing came until a few days before our arrival. The location is residential and traditional. The kitchen is very small, so cooking for 5 was tricky but not impossible. The BBQ gas cylinder was empty. Supermarkets were shut when we arrived and Ettore didn’t know this. Restaurants in Anacapri vary in price. We gauged them on the price of a Peroni and Margarita pizza. For getting around, the bus stop is a short walk from the villa but the buses get full very quickly. Taxis costs are set. To the port is 50 so this can soon add up. We went to a beach club one day which was nice. The bar at the Blue Lagoon has deck chairs/loungers and ladders to the sea. Snacks here were good value. There is lots to do if you look for it. The culture/history of the island is interesting and this is the information that Ettore shared once we had arrived. The pool is small but secluded with a lovely day bed. Watch out for mosquitoes!! Ettore did supply an effective spray, but a body spray is recommended.
