Room service is below average. Cleanliness is a major problem with noticeable stains, smell and dirt from other guests all over the rooms. Hotel is nicer on the outside and lobby area than the condition of the rooms.

The parking was limited for guests due to a shared parking lot with a club. The hotel was so dirty, it smelled like mold and cigarette smoke in the room. The dresser had drawers that smelled like urine. The restroom has loose tiles and a missing base board. The shower had tiles with black mold growing on the grout. In the morning I saw another guest stick his bare hand into the bowl of chopped fruit and stick some in his mouth then lick his fingers and stick his hand back in the bowl.(at the buffet) I let the hotel staff know and they did not remove the bowl of chopped fruit and continued to allow everyone to eat from it. The parking was limited and not available one night even though we paid. We were also charged for checking in at noon $50. We were only dropping off our bags and leaving. Also they control the AC so regardless of what you set it to it will only got to 72. My family was sick from the unit due to the mold and bad smell. We had to take Benadryl.

Good service, funny smell

I will stay there again, but there is a very strong smell like humid carpet. The carpet need some cleaning. Everyone was very nice. We asked to be check in earlier but there we no rooms available came back at 5 and our room was ready. I just wish the mildew smell was not there. I love the fact the pool was indoor. And the breakfast was very good.

A lot on cons not so many pros

PROS: Rooms are suites so kids can sleep while we stay up and watch movies in the main area. Arcade (although overpriced) was enjoyed by our kids. Breakfast buffet was great with a lot of options. Two free drinks from bar per adult during managers reception time (5:30-7pm). CONS: Rooms stink like wet dog. Closet with hangers and extra bedding smelled like dirty feet so our extra bedding and pillow smelled so bad I gagged when I laid my head on the pillow. Filthy dirty carpet in rooms (I’m talking instant black feet). Pull out bed was uncomfortable and insanely loud when you move even the slightest, I really thought it was going to break every time I laid on it. Pool water stunk so bad (maybe that’s the smell in the rooms?). Shower heads have no pressure and only a tiny bit of water comes out. Balcony’s are small and dirty and you have to lift the entire door to slide it open. Parking is $25 per night, WiFi is $4. Thermostat didn’t work properly. We could hear traffic from the nearby freeway and it was really loud- cars racing, honking, engines revving, tired squealing. Parking on weekends is sparse due to the nightclub next door, sucks paying for parking to have no where to park. Coffee maker had some white chunky stuff in it that I didn’t notice until after I made and drank my coffee *gags*. We won’t be staying here again.

Deeply Disappointed with our stay

To whom it may concern, We have stayed at Embassy Suites Anaheim North many times, but the quality has declined with each visit. This last stay was by far the worst, and unfortunately, it will be our last. Our room had no ironing board, a broken chair, a shower with a loud leak, and a bathroom door that could only be forced open. The safe didn’t work, the ice machines on three floors were broken, and there were no luggage carts at check-in, my 80-year-old grandmother was told she would have to “look for one herself if they aren’t out front”. Housekeeping never came during our two-day stay, so we had no clean towels, no fresh sheets, and not even extra toilet paper…we had to call for it. Most staff interactions were unpleasant, with the exception of John, the night manager, who was professional and helpful. The most disappointing part was at checkout. When asked how our stay was, we replied, “terrible,” yet the only response was, “Oh, I’m sorry.” No questions, no concern, and no effort to address or even acknowledge the specific issues. That interaction confirmed for us that guest satisfaction is no longer a priority here. We’ve always chosen Embassy Suites for comfort and consistency, but this experience was unacceptable. It’s disheartening to see a place we’ve been loyal to for years disregard its guests to this extent. Thank you, Dolly Spencer & Family

Positives: Decent breakfast set up and we liked the order option for omelettes. Had an arcade for some fun and a bar if you'd like a drink - felt similar to a small resort all indoors. Conveniently it is close to the hwy without the traffic noise. Nice, friendly staff with one very particularly hard working lady that is always on the move. Downfalls: The pool cleanliness - very little focus on upkeeping there where you could see the dirty film on the pool sides and always were running low on towels. There were constant elevator issues as well with all 4 of them. Also, we spent 6 nights there and unfortunately our room was cleaned minimally. Thankfully we are tidy but it is nice to come back to a fresh room. They make the bed but don't change sheets (could be part of their save energy initiatives, who knows). Didn't seem like they vacuumed at all and they wouldn't remove any dishes (we had one bowl and a spoon left for 4 days) We tried to gather all the garbage neatly together but it was left untouched except for 2 of the days. They also didn’t clean the bathroom, however did replace towels. To be fair, we didn't approach them on any concerns we had but heard from other guests that they experienced the same. We just chose to focus on the good as they were busy with large groups during our stay.
