Get what you pay for
Booked a cheap hotel so didn't expect too much. Room was reasonably clean, but hairs in bath and bed put me off. carpet could have been cleaner too. Some staff were helpful, others were surly. Disco on Friday night was loud, but bearable. Couldn't see it on the website anywhere, but I had read about it in the reviews so I was prepared and they warned me about it as soon as we checked in. Shower was ok for the Boyfriend but when I got in it was initially too hot but then went stone cold and I could not get it to get warm, so had to use the tiny glasses to wash my hair with water from the bath taps, so this annoyed me as I was freezing. Sash window in the room did not shut properly and was drafty. Chose a full English breakfast which was cooked well. Only one piece of toast though and was not approached again to ask it we wanted anything else or if everything was ok. It was advertised that there was a large selection of pastries, fruit, muffins etc There was some very old looking fruit inc black bananas, the choice of pastries was one crossiant and the cereal option was limited too. There was no muffins or orange juice, only cranberry or apple. If they advertise it, it should be available and you shouldn't need to ask or search for things. Paid £49 and I have had better, but I have also had worse. I don't think I would stay again unless I had a better room.
