Nestled in an olive grove, walking distance to the village and the path ways of the Parco Comune dei Frutti Minori” - Vigna Carrizzo is authentically Salento. The moment you drive up the lane to the house you are transported to another world. The traditional house was thoughtfully restored in 2023. The photographs do not fully convey the quality of craftsmanship, the elegant and sympathetic interior and overall beauty. Outside a large veranda runs the length of the house with areas for dining, lounging and sitting. The plunge pool is perfect, and there is a hot and cold shower. Stepping inside - the spotless and cool interior echos the tones of the landscape, everything is intentional and of quality - from the refinished antiques to newly built storage. The kitchen has all you’ll need - estate olive oil, dishwasher, large fridge and freezer. Tile floors, stone walls and thick screened windows/doors keep the house cool, but there is air conditioning if needed. The owners Cinzia and Luciano are wonderful, attentive, communicative and you can feel their passion and commitment to this land and Salento from the moment you meet. This is a working farm so from time to time water will be delivered to the cistern, plants in the neighboring fields will be tended and you will hear farm machinery at work - mowing, sowing, plowing. If you are looking for a restful countryside setting under warm sun and stary nights here should be top of your list.
